Well, done i can see why you were exhausted. That fern i had growing in my garden when i brought it. Dug it all out, just messy. Best thing i have done.

One question Ryan, could you have lifted those bulky ferns with a large garden fork, or were they compacted so tightly? A perfect, professional job under the circumstances. ❤️🌺

Brilliant once again Ryan, brutal work on that path, it was scary to watch you pull that carpet up. Take it easy and stop when you get out of breath!!! Looking forward to the next segment, this will be a monumental transformation!!!

Ryan what makes this series so interesting and entertaining is that each visit results in a dramatic difference. It also shows how much hard work is required to bring a property back. The carpet made me laugh, my Mother put ‘pathways’ of old woollen carpet in her veggie garden so she could nip into the garden to get beans or other vegetables and could do so in her slippers ❤

Hi Ryan, that's an enormous amount of hard work for just one person, especially when its gratis. Those fishbone ferns are are diabolical, I managed to finally evict all mine and suffered many stabs from their hypodermic-like dead stems so I feel your pain, as for gasping for air, you are working really hard but also breathing in heaps of dirt dust, please use that edger to cut things into small more manageable pieces, you could have even cut that carpet with it as long as you held it in one spot till it cut through before moving to the next section thereby avoiding entanglement with the threads, I don't really know if that's possible but I'd give it a go, cheers champ !!!

This was a lot of sorting and bio mass in one small area. Just as I was contemplating that there were two trees, too close together, you took one out. :) Well, there you had a genuine carpet buried under accumulation AND a fern root-mass carpet....

Ryan, my pulmonologist told me that if I was going to do gardening or cut the grass, I had to wear a mask. It may not cause problems now, but later on in life, all the acid rain, chemicals in the air and everything in the grass will affect your lungs. You are a smart young man with a bright future. Don't let lung problems affect you later in life. I love the work you do and really enjoy your channel. I hope you get a good quality mask - like Tim the Lawnmower Man - and wear it! Your children and family love you and wants you around!!! 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

You sure worked hard. I absolutely loathe and detest ladder fern. Once it gets established it's so hard to get rid of. I helped a lady get rid of some in her garden and it was killer work. It has lots of tubers and runners and resprouts easily. Ugh!! Did the owner want you to leave the ferns that were beside her little deck? It was very satisfying seeing the dwarf date palm appear and also the rocks edging the beds. They remind me of a lot of older gardens in Auckland. Great work Ryan. Can't wait to see the next part!

Ryan, I truly believe thier wouldn't be another lawn business in Victoria who would do this garden without asking for a mint in payment!! Every time I look at that driveway, I think, you still have a long way to go. Honestly don't know how you muster up the energy to keep going! Was hoping you would keep the palm, but you obviously had a reason for chopping it down.
