8:58 Actually she can't put the Rabbit down... This tile has to be placed with the Bird side up... after you can flip it to the Rabbit side by using a 6...
The same thing for the tile with the Sun Dial and the Scarecrow... it has to be first placed with the Sun Dial side up and be changed to the Scarecrow with a 6

Is the Games Magazine GOTY a prestigious award? I've heard of it, but I've honestly never lent it much credence.

i'd say so. until they decided recently to stop covering games and do only puzzles, they were the only publication covering boardgames in the US at all, i believe, and they appear in most major newsstands across the country, so i'd say it was a pretty big deal, and is the reason that garden dice was sold out completely for so long...

was wondering, do you have to put out a marker for your own scarecrow? because jen had to put out one marker on her sundial?

+P. Chang it means you have fewer markers that you can use elsewhere... a slight downside to using the bird to attack other players
