He went to Avalon and was granted immortality from Merlin I think. Merlin gave him that to offer one more chance for him to return Excalibur, thus fulfilling his duty, which is making Artoria finally rest (at least that's what happened in this "if" route).

@@123Sunwell This is false, Excalibur kept Bedivere's physical body from aging. He only ended up in Avalon by chance after he was already alive for 1500 years.
