People claim a fungus, others claim global warming, but unfortunately this tree is hard to grow nowadays. There are some efforts to grow them with help of human knowledge, I hope it works. A Lawyer and Preacher named Elvy Callaway got a lot of publicity a generation or two ago by claiming that the biblical Garden of Eden was in northern Liberty County. E.Vy was a country lawyer and a Baptist preacher. He said the evidence was that the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee River system has four heads, just like the river described in the Bible. The Country Lawyer E.V Calloway also said that the area is rich in Gopher wood. The same wood that The Most High Elohim's instructed Noah to use to build the ark.of safety to preserve the lives of him, his family and the different pairs of animals saved from the flood. Liberty County Courthouse, Bristol Further evidence, said E. I just visited 1/25. It's quite tragic: Hurricane Michael in 2018 took down ALL the old growth trees. It's 7 years later and it's still clearly devastated. I'm from NW Florida and I've been all types of places ( grew up poor and never thought that I'd ever travel ) but my husband's work afforded that ( before covid of course lol ) and every time I go somewhere my heart pines for my home land.
