I watched Mr Wizard as a kid in the 80s, but never knew about his much earlier history. Even if I had, there would be no way to see his earlier series. I am so amazed that even at 45 years old, I am still fascinated in watching his videos from 15-20 years before I was born. It is a true testament to his skill in making education interesting. He doesn't need special effects, wacky graphics, or annoying catchphrases.. He is so likable, almost like a Mr Rogers of science. The world would be full of scientists if only there were more people like him.

I've watched almost all these episodes and just love them. I watched the newer series on Nickelodeon when I was a kid, but my parents watched these. I prefer these older ones. The kids are so sharp about things. I also really like seeing all the different high-tech (then) equipment they were using. I feel very lucky to be born when I was. I can use technology, without being used by it. It's so sad, what passes for technology today is just a means to deliver marketing and social engineering to impressionable minds, who become hopelessly dependent and consumed by it. It's all downhill from here folks!

The smell in the studio must have been, um, quite disgusting. Odd that it wasn't mentioned?

That was your first thought?

@@bobobandy9382 No, but as an avid Mr. Wizard viewer in the 1960s, I repeated many of his experiments at home and grew a lot of very stinky mold as a result of watching this very show. I can still remember the stink clearly!
