Saying that this is worse than the original is putting it mildly. It's sooo slow, labored, and completely without emotion.. because they're not even real friends! There was something unique about the original Impractical jokers that hooked me almost instantly, EVEN THOUGH I was kind of biased and had a negative attitude towards reality shows in general . The way they laughed, it sounded so much like true, old best friends, just like me and my two best friends, and since I can relate, it is so much more real.. you could tell they're really and truly are having fun through all of it in the original show.

Anyone could recreate Impractical Jokers, but it's really hard. The jokers in the US were friends for a long time, which means they know each others' weaknesses. They also need to have varying senses of humor, like Joe's extreme sense of humor. This was a good attempt, but the chemistry just isn't there. I mean, these are kind of weak dares. When Roisin threw that thing over her shoulder, they could have driven that specific dare further to make it absolutely hilarious. Also, people in the US were actually pissed off at the Jokers. They need to have no fear of the public being pissed off.

The US version also uses a lot of sound effects. Normally it’s terrible in stuff like cooking shows, but here there’s a lot of painfully unfunny awkward silences that linger when a joke falls. Not to mention it’s just not charismatic in general. Goes to show really not just anybody can do it

Never heard of this show before today. I’ve been an OG Impractical Jokers fan since day one, back in 2011. I tried to watch this with an open mind. But I didn’t even smile once. What part of this was supposed to be funny? Nothing they said was funny, and when the other 3 were watching, they looked bored, like they couldn’t care less. The fun part of IJ is when they make each other laugh. This is like a middle school production or something. You get the basic gist, but *all* of the stuff that makes it good are just taken away.

And the other thing that’s missing is that I’m not sure who these people are, but Sal, Joe, Q, and Murr are improv comedians. So they do the challenge, yes, but they also add their own weird twists on things just because they’re doing improv comedy. These people are just doing what they’re told and that’s it. It’s not funny. The guys in America definitely will take a small tidbit of a joke from one of their friends, and then keep going and make it even bigger and more absurd than it had to be, because they’re improv comedians. They also bounce back off of what the strangers say. The UK people didn’t really do that at all. It’s like the OG version has all kinds of foreplay, and the UK version is just stick it in and done. 💀

Part of what makes Q, Sal, Murr, and Joe so great is that they've been best friends for over 30 years. They have amazing chemistry that comes with their long and closely bonded relationship. These people, on the other hand, were just thrown together to star on a TV show. They have zero chemistry whatsoever, and any remotely decent jokes they make are just going to come off as cringey, awkward, or plain unfunny.
