Brilliant work pleasure to watch. Start wearing gloves, your hands will be knackered in a few years. Best ones are Traffi who have a variety of different gloves for every trade and they allow the sensitivity needed when working. I tried a lot of different brands but found these the best

The porcelain slabs look amazing. I’ve been advised to lay my porcelain on a concrete oversight but do you think a tightly whacked type one oversight is sufficient?

Don’t get me wrong a concrete base is superior, but definitely not needed as long as you have 100mm of well compacted Type 1 and lay on a 30mm bed of 5/1 mix. I’d only use concrete if the ground was really bad.

Thanks man! Practice is the main one. Steady hand, don’t force the saw, it it do the work. Score a line first with a grinder if needs be using a straight edge, then cut to that. 👍

What’s the difference between building or sharp sand for mix?

Building sand is for bricklaying, it’s a lot softer and more give in it. Sharp or grit sand has a course texture in it, more for paving, block paving, concreting

Hi mate, thank you as always. Backs well used to it mate. I look after myself and know what positions to go in to keep a neutral spine. I don’t rate the Grabos mate, not for me 👍so instances but the run of the mill stuff are easy. I grew up laying 3x2s so these are tiny 😂👍

Cheers mate, part 2 next week. We took the paving up and there was around 150mm of solid mortar base underneath it with stone under that, so we left it in. We had to take some areas by house out the get the falls, and our machine struggled to get through it 💪

Great job as always. Quick question, when you mitre cut the edges of the porcelain slabs does it make it susceptible to breaking if someone stands on it?

No difference to having a square edge on a porcelain flag mate. We bond them when fitting & grout. Never had an issue 👍

17.21 mins in great job but i personaly wouldnt be fond of the steps looks like a trip hazzard for kid or someone with few beers pointy edges but great job as always

150mm step is the perfect height. The planters denote the transition. If you can’t see that you need glasses 🤓
