Garden Update and The Wonders of Weeds!

The garden got away from us at the end of last year and now we are playing catchup. The main thing we did not get to, when putting the garden to sleep in the fall, was putting down another layer of wood chips. As a result we had to deal with some weeds in order to plant.
Some of the weeds, however are edible, like Lambs Quarters!
In this video, join us as I weed the garden while sharing some spiritual insights, cook up a nice meal with the "weeds" and Brendan shows what we are planting and a few easy methods of planting and seeding!

Better than spinach? So does lambs quarters taste like spinach?

Hello! Yes, can you believe it? And it’s a weed that grows so easily. To me it tastes like mild spinach. I’ve had it raw in salads & smoothies, steamed and sautéed. All delicious!

@@BelindaTN let me know your thoughts. It’s truly very mild. You might find that you enjoy it cooked as well. I have a friend that can’t eat spinach but can eat lambs quarters. We had it growing wild on our farm in NYS and she would come and fill bag fulls being so delighted that she could eat it.
