Even though Garden Warfare 2 was the game I spent years with, the catalyst for me getting into the games was a friend showing me GW1. Specifically ops! That experience, as well as tasting my first shooter proper with Splatoon gave me the reason to give the game a chance, and to say I fell in love would be an UNDERSTATEMENT

Engame/Completion can be the sticker book, it takes 200-300 hours depending on your skill level, and gosh garden warfare 2 sticker book takes around 1500-2000 hours

its easy to say the game is weak now when you have plentiful of games to choose from. in 2014 you either had tf2 or COD in terms of class based/military shooters. so the downsides are pretty much a byproduct of its time

Well GW1 is a LEGEND in it's own right. I played it recently, and it is STILL active. Main reason is because it's more child-friendly and it's not a pay-to-win!

I personally love Garden Warfare 1, it was actually the first ever game I bought on my birthday when I was turning 12 since I was getting privileges to have my own online account on PS3. This game brings back so, so, so, so many memories, and all of them were good memories, just the countless hours I poured into this game and the countless faces and friends I've made and enjoyed just makes me feel young again. I still have the disc too for my PS3 and I booted it up one time in pure curiosity, People still play it surprisingly on Garden & Graveyards

Toxic and Electric are crazy too. I play Toxic Pea as a defender and the hitbox is stupidly huge! The fire variant of the Cricket Star is stupidly overpowered when combined with the Long Bomb. Also, the most craziest pea players play the Agent Pea

Rose in BFN is… weird. I don’t think there’s really any easy way for me to explain how I truly feel about her, because she’s so flawed in BFN, but she also has a lot of benefits, too. I think if I had to say ANYTHING, it would be that she’s a fine character, but possibly the weakest in the game

In my opinion GW1 is the best PvZ shooter, let me explain. -pros- -the maps are outstanding if i compare to GW2, and even better than BfN maps too. -the costumization is just ♾/10, the emotes and charachter accesories are just well done, especially when comparing to GW2 -unlocking things are much easier than in GW2, hear me out, but GW2's unlocking system is an unenjoyable grind due to the increased need of currency and lack on choice between packs (especially for legendaries) -charachter upgrades don't need seven decades of grinding to reach for each charachter, but this can be probably seen as a weakness due to Super Commando's ammo upgrade if you are a septimis; and if you don't mind putting a LOT of effort into the game, then GW2 has a better charachter upgrade system in this way. -some bugs are actually fun to exploit, and i don't even mind if it is used against me! like as: respawning, cactus drone uplifting, etc... whilist this would be a con for many, it is a big pro for me personally -cons- -The lack of gamemodes (graveyard ops, herbal assault, etc...) -BfN really outclasses every GW in terms of PvE and ops, it's just simply the best in that terms, if you know what it feels like to team up with someone and play some BfN PvE together, then you know. -balancing is absolutely horriflying for some charachters (i could talk of examples all day long lol) -you only can regenerate to half health, which encourages a good medic's preseance (especially in ops), but it's just simply not the case to make it a pro at all... and see, that's why it's changed in the future shooters -leveling up can be quite painful (as YSI stated in the video) -lack of variants compared to GW2, whilist not a critical con due to most of the requipments in this term is met /in short: there has already an OK amount of variants, but could've been better and more. In my opinion 1. GW1 2. BfN 3. GW2; i know it's probably the most disagreeable opinion according to the general PvZ community, but i can't controll what i feel fun, and what is not fun, i'm just totally honest and compare whilist respecting others's pick and reasoninh (like here). Also a conclusion: every PvZ shooter has it's big flaws and big advatages that you may prefer to pick instead of another set of flaws and advantages in another pvz shooter game; and so content, balance, and popularity is why most people pick GW2 as their fav (and i don't) -not everyone are same.

Nahhhh. In GW1, about a third of the characters are basically unplayable due to how weak they are. In GW2, the cancerous variants are at least hard to acquire (legendaries, pre-order bonus) and aren't as bad as GW1 Super Commando. In GW1, the maps are better as long as you are playing foot soldier or peashooter, otherwise, you can't access a fourth of the map

Also screw the one third is unplayable nonsense, every character is at least decent while in GW2 there are a ton of completely worthless characters. @InsertFunnyThingHere Yes, you can access most of the map, but about a fourth of each map can only be accessed with peashooter or footasoldier. Nearly every character in GW2 got buffed since they were so bad in GW1. Chomp thing, toxic chomper, bandit, citrus, commando pea, and nearly every sunflower are incredibly underpowered, making them basically unusable, and these are just the plants.

@@LonelyGamer4 chomp thing and toxic are alright, specially because the map design actually allows it to do stuff and every single new zombie in GW2 basically completely counters it Sunflowers are basically as bad in GW2, if anything they became worse because the new health regen system makes their healing even more worthless and because super brains exists and entirely counters her Bandit and citrus and comando are actually pretty decent don't know what you're talking about there. Also commando is equally as meh in GW2 if not worse so again don't see your point Also you can access most of the roofs withcactus because of the wallnut and also with all star due to that funny glitch that makes him basically fly. Also as scientist I don't see much value to be gained by getting to roofs anyway even though I'd be nice

I think GW2 is the better game to play, but 1 most definitely has the better maps, at least for my playstyle. I'm a sniper main, GW2's maps do not provide many good sniper nests. The meta of running around as fast as possible with Imps or Peashooters doesn't help that either. In 1, nearly every stage of every G&G map has a good sniper nest for each side.
