Escape To The Dream, Restoring The Château.

Күн бұрын

Bonjour à tous,
This week at the château, the family tackle the beautiful butterfly meadow field which is planned for the start of the château business with glamping tents. But with so much work going on in this field, where do the family start. From the rebuild of the wall, to the installation of the septic, clearing the land and saving some of the beautiful wild flowers.
If you like our videos please subscribe to our channel and hit the like buttom on the video as It helps us massively 🙏🥰
And If you would like to join us on our family journey restoring this once abandoned château, then please just follow the link below, 🥰

About us,
We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.
The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.
Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.
Please subscribe and follow our families journey, with the up’s and down’s in moving from the UK to rural France and restoring this beautiful building to its former glory.

As much gardening as you've done,, the raised beds, repurposing the trees, etc., it's nice to see that you're leaving natural spaces for the flora, and fauna indigenous to the area to live, and grow. The bird song is a perfect example of how much they must enjoy your loving care of their beautiful, though a bit overgrown, habitat. Keep up the beautiful work. Everything gets more lovely with each video. Thank you all so much.

The ashes from the burnt pile are very good for your garden. “Wood ash is an excellent source of lime and potassium for your garden. Not only that, using ashes in the garden also provides many of the trace elements that plants need to thrive. But wood ash fertilizer is best used either lightly scattered, or by first being composted along with the rest of your compost”

I know this sounds like hearsay but cut all the flower blooms off those transplants so they will put the energy into root growth. Good luck on all the plant transplants. There is a family of Brits that have a You tube channel (Escape to the Chateau DYI, Dick and Angel)that have a Glamping site...their floating tent area does have a chandelier in the tent. Their Chateau has a working walled garden. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to your next video.

I have just checked. Roses need at least six hours of direct sunlight per day. It may have been better to plant your lilies in an area which is in shade for some of the day. In the summer they may struggle exposed to the hot French sun all day.
