É uma abelha sem ferrão assim como as Jataís, mas é outra espécie. Aqui no Brasil temos mais de 300 espécies de abelhas sem ferrão catalogadas 😃

You guys sure make it look easy. Your bees seem very calm. When I split, I have bees climbing everywhere and attacking me, why is that? By the way thanking you both for your video.

I don't notice any hole in between the super chamber (top) and the middle clamber but a transparent plastic sheet. So I wonder how the bees goes up and store the homey in the super chamber. Nice if you could show us in the next video.

Great info …just got a native stingless beehive like this and the ants are rife around it and entrance arrived last night and found ants eating dead bees next to it…how do I make that propolis and wax to the entry ? What is the resin is it from the bees next? Given the hive has just been homed I can’t get in of course so any ideas how to do this wax mixture please. ( novice bee lover here)

Will is correct. These bees are not native to North America, so they are not allowed to be imported here.

OK ! how do you attract the bees to a new hive- have plenty of bees around yard all stingless -do i just put the hive out and wait .
@henrydas99663 жыл бұрын
You need a propolis. The easiest you put some at the entrance box just like in the video, and put it on tree. Another way you melt it by mixing it with ethanol and pour it in the box covering inside surface and still need to put some at the entrance, once the ethanol dried up then there it is the smell of propolis that can attract the bees. Or you put a handful of propolis and you use fire torch and scrap it all over on the inside surface. If you have a sharp vision, you may found their entrance on tree, the active one will have lots of ins and outs of those bees. If the tree is within you property, you may cut it down to start with (I bet you won't), or you can do a grafting but you need to wait longer.

Карбонарские пчелы, родом из Австралии. Большинство пчел в улье спокойны, они тоже без жала.

The Jataí bee is very different from this one, these are more like the "Mirins".
