I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Thanks for watching.

That cactus is a prickly pear and fun fact it’s eatable and apparently quite tasty! I’ve not had it myself but people love it!

One of the mistake I make is growing too many tomato plants. Next year I will probably only grow 6 cherry tomatoes max, and less plants overall. I have to grow a lot because I save seeds and always trialing new variety. My trellis for each plant is 6-7ft tall, by 2-5ft wide. I always ended up with more tomatoes than I can eat and giveaway, and the ripe ones left on the vine get pierced by stink bug or have eggs laid in them by flies, so they become nasty. I do can and freeze but even then I still have frozen tomato from last year. I recommend doing more bellpepper, romanesco cauliflower and peas. Once you let chives establish on the ground you pretty much have it forever.

Lupine are biennials. They only grow leaves the first year. They have flowers and drop their seed the second year. If the climate isn’t too harsh they can last longer that two years. They do naturalize well once they’re established though. Your place is so beautiful. I love the harvest flies too. There aren’t any where I live. Thanks for the tour. 🙂

Please can you set up a trail cam and film the bear in the berry bushes 🙏 Also your lettuce looks like it’s bolted. The leaves may be sour if you eat them. You can cook with them though. This happens naturally as the days get longer. You might be able to save the lettuce by cutting it back at the base and it will regrow. If it gets too hot you may lose them though. Hope this helps 😊

Beautiful, I love your videos. I make seed tape out of toilet paper cut into long strips and dots of elmers glue, using a toothpick, You can space the seeds perfectly and bury them with a little soil. I make them up ahead of time in the off season, while dreaming of a perfect harvest.

Plant the chives right next to, and I might RIGHT NEXT TO, any other plants you have that the slugs love. It will help protect them from the slugs and will not harm the other plant bc chives don’t crowd or outcompete other plants 💚💚💚

This year my cucumbers are doing great but tomatoes and peppers haven't been doing much. I planted the cucumber in a container with a drain hole and it was able to grow a root down into the soil and the voles didn't eat it.

Probably figured this out already, but your lettuce is bolting (going to seed/making flowers). To me, it’s not a big deal, but it does make the lettuce a little bitter.
