Such a nice garden 🙂 I had a lot f aphids on our kale this summer as well. I thought it was because I planted kale under large willow. Have not had that problem in previous years.

Elu on ilus! Aphids are annoying aren’t they! I was hoping the insects would come and eat them but I don’t have enough. Will be trying harder with our next batch

What variety is your kale that had all the aphids on it?

Rachel Wong eep I cant remember as we’ve been collecting its seeds for years. I think curly leaf kale or something similar?

Rachel Wong haha actually I got rid of the plant. But normally yes I would get rid of the aphids. This time I was experimenting to see if the other insects would bring it back to balance but they did not. So will try bettering my balance for the upcoming kale !

@@ConnieCao how were you trying to balance it out? Just asking cause I'm going to start a patch soon, and wondering how other ppl balance out their pests

@@rachelwong1762 hoping we could get enough beneficial insects to come and eat them, but couldn't. Probably better if I removed them at the start to keep the numbers low instead and have insects deal with the remainder. Aphids reproduce like crazy haha. Will probably do some human intervention next time
