Garden tips Do you think it is absolutely necessary to mix river sand in the potting mix as it is not very easily available.Moreover ,I feel in the garden soil there is already mixture of sand .l have also heard that sometimes sand also damage the plants .I have used the last option of calcium in my plants ie combination of eggshells,lime and white. Vinegar,please tell me what is the proportion of water in this mixture.I like your informative videos to improve our plants .
@GardenTips4 жыл бұрын
Hi, it depends on your location. If you already have sandy soil in your place then no need to add this. Otherwise cocopeat is the best option for home gardening.

@GardenTips3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Compost is a general term and includes decomposed Cowdung or vermicompost which is discussed in video. Detailed episode on compost- kzbin.info/www/bejne/nKDZfYiajrB4gKs

@@GardenTips Thank you for your reply. Sorry, I wasn't clear. What I meant was just buying compost from nursery or landscaping suppliers nearby vs buying a bagged product. It is relatively cheaper.

Hi very nice video. But I have a problem with one of the products that you use. Epson salt. I tried it recently and used half of what the manufacturer recommended. And it burnt all the leaves on my plants and killed them. Seven months of hard work fried in a week. I lost about $ 10,000 in product do to epson salt. I've been growing things for over 50 years. My thumb is so green, that my grandmother use say, I could buy a bag of sunflower seeds that you eat and I could make it grow. Anyway. I never used epson salt before because I always thought that salts would kill the roots. Because I use salt to keep tree roots from attacking my septic system. Anyway live and learn ( the hard way). Also may I ask why you didn't use something to introduce beneficial bacteria and fungi into your soil mixtures ? Thanks and take care.

Hi Dr. Good Evening, it is very detailed video on different organic fertilisers. I do follow and use your old fertiliser mix with cowdung and vermicompost. But in this video you have suggested only DRY MIX WITHOUT COWDUNG AND VERMICOMPOST. I am unable to find this new video on dry mix. Pl send me link. Thanks for every new video with full information. Regards
@GardenTips4 жыл бұрын
Thanks and a very good evening! It’s the same old video for reference. Nothing much to calculate for organic stuff. Adding dry stuff for longer shelf life and main purpose is to use these as a supplement once in a while as a preventive measure to nutritional deficiencies. Regular fertilizing with Cowdung and supplementing with this once in a month or 2 months. Regards 🙏
