@@aumdhavale3689 some of the small centipedes are actually good in the soil, they eat the bad insects and that means the soil is healthy. most healhy soils will have many type of small moving insects, a soil without insects wont really grow plants that good.

My mom has this plant in her house. None of us knew what kind of plant this was and it's been kind of neglected, but it's survived for the past 10+ years. It's about 7 feet tall despite never having been repotted, never getting fertilizer and being watered maybe once a month. It's really beautiful, but we'd like to trim it back as it's a bit too large now

Same. Mine has been in the corner by my front window for 15 years and it's 10 feet tall. I repotted it about 2 years ago and that was extremely difficult because of how big and heavy it's gotten. If I ever have to move I have no idea how I'd get it out of here.

Best way to clean leaves is keep the plant under shower and get a thorough rinse. Let it dry out naturally don't use any clothes to dry. Rubbing clothes on leaves kills its veins and will result in browning of leaves. When you cut the plant cover the cut edge with cinnamon powder or turmeric to prevent insect infections. Keep up great work on plant care.

I received my rubber tree plant when I lost my 26yr old son to cancer in 2015 so you can imagine very important it is to me. I recently repotted my plant because ants had invaded it and before I replanted it I cleaned all the old soil from around the roots(this is what someone suggested to me that I do) I realize that put my plant in shock but it’s having a lot of new growth recently but all most of all of the leaves on my plant are at the top and no leaves at the bottom. I wish I could send you pictures but just from my description, is there any advice you can give me? Any would be greatly appreciated because I don’t know a lot about caring for plants and have just recently began to garden and buy more plants so I hope to have a green thumb in the future. Most important to me is my rubber tree plant because it is so sentimental to me. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Also, I live in the south in the USA if that makes any difference. Thanks again. Wow.... I loved the info...And the way you provided it... I have this plant in my house since last 30 years in a pot... In starting I didn't know it will grow this big vertically... But it has now in the same pot it has gone from ground floor to second floor and there it started becoming like a full grown tree in spite of a thin stem like 2 inches..Dia.. at top it is getting a lot of direct sun light and yea some leaves do burn out due to heat in summer here in rishikesh...But it keeps on growing new healthy leaves as well... This plant is like my buddy since I was 5 years old... I love it... And tbh I pour soaked rice water directly in the soil .... 🤗

Thank you for the great video. I am going to try pruning my rubber plant and progogate my cutting. My sister gifted me this rubber plant in July 2021. I have it indoors by south light. I have just been watering it and watching it grow. Bought a pot for it cause it's so pretty but now I am am scared to repot it . Hope it does ok. I was kinda mourning my orchid I had for 2 years that died. It was so pretty and I was so proud of it. I should of just kept doing what I had been doing but listened to advice and over watered it. Hopefully have success again. I just bought some bear paws at Home Depot. They are the cutest succulents. Hope they flower for me. Good luck everyone with your plant journey and thank you all for sharing your knowledge too.

I bought one when it was just few inches tall, had 2 leaves....[ I prefer buying small plants ] . 2 years passed and and that cutie mutie pup grew 7 feet. I had clipped a branch coming out when it was small, as I wanted it to use all its energy to grow tall ( I regret it now lol, not that much though ). That clipped branch is now 5 feet. Moral of my story... Rubber plant is one of the easiest plant to grow. It throws no tantrums and can take some heat. P.S. I recommend not to use coco peat or any light medium coz as plant grow, its centre of gravity shifts upward. It becomes hard for it to remain upright in strong winds. Even indoor plants tends to tumble. This tip applies to other tall plants as well. Happy Gardening and Loads of Plant wisdom. 🌴🤠👍🏻

My rubber plant is about 19 years old. It is planted in a bathroom with a tiny window. In the winter the window gets covered by snow. I barely water it and we heat the house with wood so it dries out completely. It's still in its original pot with barely any soil left. Moral of the story, its neglected !! And now it's grown over 12ft and growing horizontaly along ceiling. Since getting more plants this year I take much better care of it now and top dressed it with soil. But because it's so big it will not get a new pot.

@Vinay Suntha whatever your comfortable indoor temperature is probably good for your rubber tree. Our house gets down to 16-17C in the winter. It is a tropical plant so it does like warmth. You can water once a week but allow for the soil to dry between next watering to prevent root rot. Happy growing!

At the onset, let me congratulate you for the info shared via the footage, which would be of great help to me.After searching for close to two years, I succeeded in purchasing two gorgeous verigated Rubber plants. Both are kept indoors. I water them twice weekly on every Wednesdays and Sundays. One plant is in good condition, whereas the second one has already lost five of its pretty leaves. I fear that it is on account of over watering . From this week onwards I have decided to water them at weekly intervals on every Wednesdays. I am worried about the fate of my problem plant. Another problem is that it was earlier placed close to the wash basin of my dining hall where adequate light was not available. Your valuable guidance is solicited on the means to rescue my plant.
