Better to make private sector do all the lighter satellite launching, while ISRO exclusively concentrates on heavy/super-heavy launches and research satellite/cutting-edge technology stuff which would be out of hands from private sector. ISRO can use private sector for outsourcing of many of its non-secretive/easyish jobs. This way, money can be saved/better utilized.

Any satellite launches on GSLV Mk2 makes my anxiety go 📈. Seriously, why hasn't ISRO been able to make it as reliable as PSLV/GSLV Mk3?

Because it's 'compromise vehicle' built to accommodate the cryogenic upper stage engines bought from the Russia . It's fundamentally flawed.
@tirthachakrabarti59122 жыл бұрын
Here's a reason. CE-7.5 is based on Russian KVD-1 which uses staged combustion cycle. It's an efficient but complex cycle so more risky. Vikas and CE-20 of PSLV and GSLV Mk3 use Gas generator cycle which somewhat less efficient but simpler and more reliable. PSLV is solid+hypergolic as well. Cryogenic is much more complex. That said, CE-7.5 powered Mk2 flew 8 times. 6 of them are consecutive successes.
@tirthachakrabarti59122 жыл бұрын
@@kunjukunjunil1481 That's a vague reason. Mk2 never failed due to overall vehicle design. Once failed due to turbopump failure, second time due to fuel tank pressure drop. Both problems are in the cryo stage.

Sir problem test ki nahin, problems time ki hai. ISRO chahe to sare tests 2022 me kar skta hai, hai aur phir 2023 me human rated launch kare, par Budget ki dikkat hai. ISRO ko agar apna budget chahiye to thoda clean and clear approach Lani padegi. Hamare politics me space ko Lana padega, aur public support ke bina ye budget nahin badhega We must request to ISRO to communicate with public and get ideas, just the way SpaceX's Elon Musk interacts. This creates interest in public and in return support increases. ISRO should use modern lightweight and eye-catching designs in rocket because the although these old-fashioned designs are successful, but this doesn't interest our youth. Moreover, more and more young people should be included in ISRO because they have new vision for the future and can think in multiple ways. Hope this becomes true.🙂

Most of the space agencies in the world. Maybe China can be considered as an exception since they usually just don't announce any specific dates until very close to launch. There will be no delay is no precise timing is being expected. For example, their current announced plan is to land Chinese on the Moon "around 2030". No exact year is set as the target.
