Beat me to it! It's amusing how people don't realise the track list and actual mixing/djing is pre-created & programmed... thats how they can make allthe background visuals also work with the music. Incredible sets though. Can't wait to see him live.

@@driftwud Hello! If you're interested about what goes on behind the scenes, this set and tracklist isn't pre-programmed. Other than knowing I was starting with Breathe / Mezzanine, I had very little idea of where this set was going to go, and just followed the energy of the crowd and my own instincts. We have pre-made visuals to 100s of tracks, but due to a nifty bit of software called ShowKontrol, I can play entirely live and the visuals will follow the music. It's seriously cool, a lot of artists use it. Then there are tracks where we have no pre-programmed visuals and the VJ is 'bussing' (ie: doing it live) - for instance Hands, Lost and Exposure are three tracks like that. It's always a challenge having a fully immersive visuals experience whilst keeping it fundamentally live but I think we got the balance right here!

This is the Gareth I went to see in DC and I've been following for a while. I'm not a big fan of the commercial songs he has played on his last 2 EDC shows at the main stage. This is his true voice, original music with feeling! That one last song it's a master piece with the true essence of Gareth Emery's style.

That little psy trance drop @41:10 is so unexpected and incredible. I absolutely love how he worked that in. It's just enough. gets everyone moving to a different bpm, then brings it back. AMAZING! I like psy trance a lot but sometimes a whole set can be a bit draining. love that little touch in this set!
