one thing you have to realize is that the golden generation England team didn't win anything because they were competing with other teams that were in their golden generation and were just better than them, which this England isn't contending with. This generation of Brazil, Germany and especially Spain team aren't the teams they once were. English managers are not good. No English manager has won the Premier League which is now in its 32 nd edition. English managers have also had good teams. Lampard and Potter had Chelsea. Hodgson had Liverpool. Redknapp had Tottenham and wan't that bad. Rioch had Arsenal. Keegan had Newcastle when they were flying. None of them won the Premier League. The last English manager to win a European Cup is Howrad Kendall with Everton in 1985 when he won the Cup Winners Cup.
