He took 20 vulnerable young adults aged around 17-20 year olds and trained them to do the Cardiff Half Marathon in 2017 , and it wasnt devoid of the usual teenage troubles.... it was shown On BBC Wales, Alfies Army.... I know his strength in helping every single one of those young adults as my Daughter was 1 of them and yes she, along with all the others finished it. So very proud of them and eternally grateful for his passion and commitment to every single one of those young adults who grew as the months went along and I can assure people who dont know him, his dedication does not stop when the cameras stop rolling.

With 100 test matches he was for years the most-capped player for Wales. A former team captain, he was selected for the British and Irish Lions tour in 2005 and captained them as well. He came out in 2009 and created a kind of pivotal moment for World Rugby, making the international game one of the most welcoming sports for us LGBTQ folks. He was granted a CBE in 2020, and supports several charities including one for youth in crisis. He's quite a guy.
