Gareth, this is a great video, thank you. Loved the "giant legs" and "man walking" at 15.01 - looks better flipped. I worked in London through the 1970's - never seen it that empty! I'm retired and too ancient to bend down or carry heavy gear, now deciding between X100V, X-E4 or Q2 as a take-anywhere camera. You've sold me on the X100V. With the screen flipped it'd be like shooting with your Rollei. THANK YOU.

The picture of the two guys walking was my favorite. The one where there's a guy in the back and a guy in the front. The one with the person with the umbrella was my next favorite. But I prefer the original than the flipped version. It seems that a lot of street photographers like Fuji cameras and lenses. I have a z6 II. It's smaller than the older DSLR bodies. It's not bad to carry around with a small prime lens. I bought the 40mm f/2 around Thanksgiving. I Ann really impressed with that lens and how sharp it is. I haven't done a lot of street photography so it's new to me. You don't see photographers walking around in the cities near where I live. If you see someone with a camera they are usually doing portraits for someone.

I'm just curious you shot that awesome image (man walking in rain B/W ) at f8, 500th a second at 2000 Iso on screen it looks like it has no noise what's your trick as I have just bought the x-t4 and find noise is noticeable past 160 Iso and looks nothing like what you are producing. Is there some post processing you do or is there a trick to increasing ISO without noise/ grain ect?

This is why I always have a couple of sandwich bags folded up in my camera bag. They are excellent for keeping water off of the camera in a pinch, they weigh next to nothing and you can basically buy them anywhere. The Tesco on the corner of Trafalgar Square sells them. Surprised you didn't hit up Piccadilly and St James either. You tend to get more locals round there and they tend to be well heeled and stylish types.

Stick the camera in a freezer bag with a couple packs of silica gel, wrap the top of the bag around the lens and put an elastic band around it, cut a tiny hole for your strap to poke through and put a band around that too. That's what I do and I haven't had a problem yet. Looks ugly but it works brilliantly.

In wet weather, I will use a brolly (and wear a waterproof jacket) even though I have a weather-sealed camera (an X100V) simply because I don't want to be soaked through. I was talking to the camera store salesman in Calumet Glasgow, some years ago about my street photography work and he asked me why I use a brolly when I had a weather-sealed camera (it was the X-T1 and 35mm f2 lens) and suggested I was a fair-weather photographer... I responded, “no, it's just I don't want to get drenched!” 🤣 In saying that, I do shoot with an XF10 too and took it out in the blizzard we had a week back Tuesday, when I couldn't get to work... Knee deep in snow, and had a large rigid brolly to photograph behind. Flicker: thesrpspaintshop

Where I live, even the Pentax legendary weather sealing is no guarantee of the camera and/or lens coming out alive after a session in the wet. What you call heavy rain is a light mist :D :P Heavy rain is when you get out of the vehicle you're in, walk 5 feet away from it and then you can't see the damn thing because of the rain!! :D I'd be leery to even take my W300 out in rain like that, and it's waterproof!! But, even a good downpour can be too much for the weather sealing of a camera. I tend to stay out of the rain unless it's going to be light.
