It was set up by the Sangeet Natak Akademi as one of its constituent units in 1959. Questions also should have included: 1.) As parent now a days and everyone around us think, acting is an uncertain career, is there anything he had to say on that? Is there any security, placements in several production houses NSD offers? 2.) What's the maximum age of applying into NSD? What if a person is not of a graduating age, he/she's 25 or 30+ can they join NSD? A few better questions were expected.

30 is the max age and there cant be any certainity for anything in this world. However, we can work with repertory after completion of the respective courses or can try our luck in mumbai.

When I approached NSD to join they told me that u should have certificate of 6 plays which u have performed in school or college or any Theatre which I didn't have. So I joined some other Theatre. Moreover I was working in a multinational Company so I just wanted a to join acting class whose classes timing didn't coincide with my office timings. I just wanted to have a good acting experience n training before shifting to Mumbai.

You missed talking elaborately about the age limit which is different for different categories. In addition to having experience of performing in six standard dramas (Ramleela won't be counted) age limit is very crucial. Rest is not difficult for any good student of arts (humanities) who is a voracious reader.
