Last Year Garlic retail price was @ Rs 40 to 80 per Kg. through out the year and this year its retail price is ranging from Rs 400 to 500. Garlic farmers lost huge amount of their investment last year, therefore many farmers might have keep away themselves from Garlic cultivation . This may be the main reason for fetching of record Price for Garlic Crop this year.Some times some farmers benifited with Jackpat like Garlic farmers of this year and tomato farmers last year.

Every body knows , Garlic rate is going to increase, because of Rains and drought. It's the job of State government s, Agricultural, marketing, Agricultural Institution s job to alert and encourage farmers. But such type of mechanism is not there in India . So Garlic shot up to Rs 500 tomorrow this comes to 50 rs kg.

@@creativemedia. As of now Indian farmers are not in that level . Because of Electronic devices. Major problem is monitoring system , guidance and marketing. Ex 80 crores people are getting free ration , center is distributing rs 29 rice. People are purchasing Rs 60 to 70 rice in the open market. 2. Kinnou ( Santra) were purchasing at rs 10 per piece in the City. But actual price in Mp is Rs 15 per kg, Punjab they are throwing on roads or distributing in mid day meal. kg = 4 to 5 pieces.Elctronic media , always concentrate /make . Panic in the consumer's mind.first and foremost dis interest of local governments, they can mesmerize with freebies, people also want the same .

@@modernhr2315 For your or my probelems we have to fight with the Governments in office and not with the farming community who are fighting with the calamities all around and who are also oppressed class as like middle class.Most of the Farmers also part and parcel of poor ,lower middle class and rarely of higher middle class and rarest in the rich class .Now a days large parcel of lands in villages are in the hands Big Business people, Doctors ,lawers,Big Politicians and they are not constitute farming community, and they are simply investors on land banks.
