Lakshmi: (Khushi) Hey daughter-in-law, quickly pack your stuff, it's time for the wedding procession to leave.
Jyoti: (Khushi) Mother, all the stuff is packed, now I am just waiting for my sister-in-law, you will see that when my sister-in-law comes, we both will live like sisters and not sisters-in-law.
Narrator: Everyone quickly finishes all the preparations and leaves with the wedding procession, after the marriage, everyone comes home with the new daughter-in-law of the house, Alka, where Jyoti and Lakshmi welcome Alka with great love.
Alka: (Ghamand) Oh...God, it's so hot here, I'm suffocating, where is my room, I have to change.
Jyoti: (Khushi) Come Alka, I'll take you to your room.
Narrator: As soon as Alka enters the room, she takes off her wedding dress, wears her comfortable clothes and lies down straight. Jyoti finds it a little weird to see this, but she doesn't say anything. Alka was married in a middle class family, but she was from a very rich family, so she asks her father to get two ACs, out of which she gets one AC installed in her room and one in her mother-in-law's room.
Scene change…
Lakshmi: Alka bahu, when did you get this AC installed in my room and who installed it?
Alka: (Khushi) Mother, I got an AC installed in your room. The summer season has already started and in this heat you must be facing a lot of problems without an AC, right?
Lakshmi: (Khushi) May no one's evil eye fall on my daughter-in-law. She is taking so much care of me as soon as she came. She even got an AC installed in my room so that I don't have any problems.
Narrator: Lakshmi is just saying this when Jyoti arrives there.
Jyoti: (Khushi) Alka, come with me to the kitchen today, cook with your own hands.
Alka: You know, I can't do any work in this heat, anyway I had brought some jewellery and sarees for Maaji, so I had to show them to her.
Lakshmi: Ok…. No problem bahu, you can cook food some other time, Jyoti bahu, go and cook food today.
Narrator: Jyoti finds all this very strange but she doesn't pay much attention and a few days pass like this.
Jyoti: Alka, there are a lot of clothes today, come and help me wash the clothes.
Alka: But I was going out to the parlor with Maaji.
Jyoti: So go later, is the household work more important or going to the parlor..?
Lakshmi: What will happen if you wash the clothes one day, you have been washing them for so many years, Alka bahu, come, we are getting late for the parlor.
Narrator: Alka takes Laxmi with her to the parlor. Jyoti gets very angry seeing all this, but she doesn't say anything. Jyoti always thought that when her sister-in-law comes, they both will take care of the responsibilities together and will do all the household chores. But since Alka came, she has always fulfilled her desires as well as those of her mother-in-law with the help of her money and also avoided household chores.
Scene change…
Minku: Aunty, aunty, I am feeling very hot, please make a mango shake for me.
Narrator: Saying this, Minku starts shaking Alka's hand. Alka is applying nail paint due to which her nail paint gets spoiled.
Alka: (angrily) My nail paint got spoiled because of you. Don't you have the patience for even 2 minutes?
Narrator: Saying this, Alka angrily pushes Minku on the ground. Hearing Minku's screaming, everyone comes there.
Jyoti: (Anger) Minku, are you okay? Alka, have you lost your mind? How dare you push my son? First of all, ever since you came, you keep resting like a queen all day. You have not done any household work till date. Even in this heat, I work like a maid.
Alka: (Anger) You have so much courage to talk to me like this. Do you even know whose daughter I am? Now I cannot tolerate my insult anymore. I cannot live with you in this house. I want a partition.
Jyoti: (Anger) Yes, I am not dying to live with you. I also want a partition.
Durgesh: Have you both lost your mind? What are you both talking about? Mother, now you explain something to both of them.
Laxmi: What can I explain, what is happening is right, anyway I consider Alka as my daughter-in-law, since she has come she is taking so much care of me, in summers she got an AC installed for me, takes me shopping everyday, feeds me ice cream, and yesterday we even went to the swimming pool, I will stay with Alka.
