Some years ago I moved from my home area for a lifetime, to my - wifes home, and we became married (we are now both 73!), just outside one of the most bike-friendly areas/towns in the World. Danish: Copenhagen ;-), with highspeed routes, through town, only for bikes, and a bike-bridge accross our harbour. But at "home" I always knew where I was (on my bike), - and how to get home!!! And know I soon will find myself in areas where I really don't know where I am - and how I get Home!! So I'm looking for a bike-computer with a map, and with a button saying: "HOME", which will fast guide me to where I came from, and from where ever I have got! I am looking for primarily a Garmin (As I have one in my car), but I really don't care, as long as it functions well, and brings me home!

Hi Finn Carl Bomholt Sørensen Love the in side. I think the best bike computer now days is the Wahoo. It has maps and directions. But when traveling I use my celular phone with Google Maps on it. It is very practical because I can plan my routes and there is a HOME and a WORK button that is preselect. And is nice because we can make lists of places to visit and places we liked. For your purpose I recommend Google Maps in your phone, and bring a power bank to recharge the phone if need it. Keep Safe! Keep Riding!

And, on a bromptons stempost, You are able to buy an extra "titanium bolt", as mine (weight-sawing!!!) - on top of the stem, and this, as the ordinary bolt, are being able to hold a special: Holder for a bikecomputer/an action camera and also a bikelight of different chosen brands! Finn

Hi Finn I've seen it, very interesting. But when we fold the Brompton it have to be removed. When I use a phone mount, I just tilt it and can fold it with the mount. Nice to have you on board!

I have seen Your model recommended for being very sturdy, but when I have finished riding, both my speedo and action camera/s needs charging and downloading, and an eventual lamp, which is also a possible addition (I haven't got a Smartphone, just a simple and inexpensive to use, mobile). So it doesn't matter, as I never leave them on my bike as folded, just the basic clamp. ;-). And I have just got a new, black "Titanium seat post" sent from England, for an absurd price, but I waited and did try to buy one from China, also during the "Black Friday" offers, but as usual, it was too cumbersome to find one that way! The last time I tried during a B.F. Sale, the Chinese shop couldn't actually deliver, as it was only a promotion offer, it seems, so I lost my chance of a bargain? So I had to finally buy my Shimano XTR set from England. Today I have a superlight carbon MTB with the very special top XTR 9120 disc brake set with double calibers, oversize XTR discs, and a similar set XTR competition wheels with carbon spokes! The last bought as a used set from Ebay as the price from new was just tooooo absurd. So in the end I bought a seat post from England, an extra long 600 mm black Scandinavian version, with the new added VAT. and with a ring mount for the saddle, so that I saved the weight of the clamp. I am looking for a saddle like yours, but I have found some leather ones, but also absurdly prized.

People spend big bucks on green-screens & lighting to obtain beautiful backdrops, you get them for free. Your review is the best. Garmin marketing tells us all the good features, you on the other hand tell us what we really want to know. What's lacking, not user-friendly & what should be improved. ☺︎

Hi Blue Yonder Rio de Janeiro is blessed by beautiful landscapes :) When Arnold asked me what I think of the Garmin 130, as he is looking to buy a new bike computer, I thought it would be wise to inform what bothers me, as it may be that none of these features are missing for him or anyone interested in Garmin 130. For example, the new Garmin 130 Plus I know has a battery percentage, it would be less than one cons for me. It is always nice to have you on Board.

You could bring a small extra battery/charger for a phone, which comes in several sizes, and wiil be able to fast charge the Garmin again!

Hi Woomi Cnan The elastic mount will fit on any bike. But the hard Garmin mount might need some patting. Nice to have you on board!

Hi Bman H Nope, what I sad is that there is a necessity to press start button twice to start recording. And for several times I forget to press a second time so the beginning of the ride does not get recorded. My other Garmins does not have this feature. Keep Safe! Keep Riding!

Have you thought of an Apple Watch Chris? Iphone required to get directions and temp. Miles, heartbeat, and its on your wrist no weight at all i love mine! check one out, its rain and sleet here Chris, i know where i would rather be, there !!!

Hi Brompton We just pass the raining season. Now until February is only sunny days with summer rain at the end of the hot days :) The Watches work perfectly for riding up to 3 / 4hs. But the screen is restricted to little information. When passing to the cell phone, it’s fantastic. The range of information is very wide. But to ride the whole day the watches can't take it. I've used Aple Watch, Samsung Watch, Garmin Active .... Accessing the visualization on the Bike's computer is also easier than on the watch, I don't even have to take my hand off the handlebars and I can change Garmin pages. But some times I do use the watch for very short comutes. Keep Safe! Keep Riding!

@@ChrisbyBike I can't quite tell but it looks like you have the original stock Brompton pedals including the small folding pedal? Have you ever heard of a Bromfoot 2? Some people complain about that smaller left pedal and I keep seeing where people don't latch it properly when they fold it and it scrapes against their bike frame damaging the paint. Very interesting! I went to measure my pedals. The one on the right is 10 cm and the one on the left is 10 cm and only 9 cm is usable, since 1 cm is used by the pedal to make the fold. But I think I got used to it. In my case the pedal of my Brompton does not bend more than necessary and does not come close to the painting, it was manufactured in late 1997. They probably change it because it was causing damage to the paint frame.

@@NoZenith 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 You got me curious! So I did measure For size 13 You might feel the difference. But instead of a plastic fixer, I would go for the bigger peddles (maybe MTB paddles) that disattach the right paddle and fix in the frame. Will be comfortable and cool. Try the regular one first and see how it feels

Hi Myron Yes, you can change for mileage. And the new one, 130 Plus, has battery percentage. Wich helps for touring. If temperature is not important to you, it is a great choice. Keep Safe! Keep Riding!
