Great run down if the features I have just got one from Amazon today with a very nice white strap maybe you could have showed us what the big numbers looked like as at 62 years young my eyesight is not what it used to be so that would have been informative well done I look forward to my next round .

When it says the yardage to the hazards and the layup range is that the range from the green if you clear the obstacle?

If you are comparing an s10 to an s12 one feature nobody mentions is that you can fit a 20mm nato strap onto this one and toss that plastic band in a drawer.

As far as I know, it doesn’t have a backlight. At least, I’ve never found one.

Good review. I like the S12 features better than the S10 and it's only $50 more. However, it appears (as you commented) that the S12 is bigger than the S10. I have smaller wrists so I'm concerned that the S12 may be too big. Absent trying them both on, any thoughts?

I wouldn’t say the size is particularly noticeable and most people I bet could wear either comfortably. I think it’s mostly the round shape that pushes the edges out. If you were a round watch, it’ll feel totally normal. If anything, the basic one feels pretty minimalist.

My new S12 30/5/23 is called Tidal Blue its a nice mid to slightly darker mid blue

Hi Peter, I watched your review on the S10 and was going to purchase it. However, I just saw your review on the S12 and they are both $149.00. Do you prefer the S12? Thanks for your reviews, they are very helpful.

I prefer the S12 over the S10 at the same price. They are generally the same, and the S12 is a few grams heavier. However, the S12 uses standard watch band spring bars so you can replace the band (which I have) so you're not stuck with the stock rubber bands. The S10 band is unique and has to be replaced with another Garmin band. The display also seems to be better on the S12. At the same price, I'd go with the S12 all day long! Hope that helps, Kevin!

The S12 has a higher resolution that the s10. So not the same old screen.
