Great video. Quick question. What is the procedure/buttons pressed that you use for changing between your course and other watch features? I ask because I tried following a course like you did, but when I went to see what time it was I couldn’t find how to continue the course.

Hi, im not sure. I’ve added a time «dataface» to the activety. So i just toggle down to the time dataface to check time and back up to the navigation face.

my opinion, using GPS + Glonass setting, make battery consumption more dying faster, compare to GPS (only) setting. But GPS+ Glonass show coordinates more accurate for sure. I'm using Garmin fenix 5

MrNandatube Hi, yes i agree. I switch to only GPS if im going to be out for many hours. It saves alot of battery.

At the end of the course can you keep tracking or does it just stop when you have completed the course

Hi. You can keep tracking after the course is complete. You can also start tracking before you are at the start of the course, it will guide you to the starting-point of the course.

Hi! When you are following a "set course", both the arrows points in the direction of the course. If you dont have a "set course" ,the big arrow points north.

im very sorry just checking here, this is the Garmin 5, not the th5 Plus or X right?? its just a normal 5 correct? i got fenix 3 and i got that because i like the maps, but got told 5 dont have maps on it??

Hi, this is the Garmin Fenix 5. It dosnt have maps on it. But you can make/download a route from youre pc to the watch, and you will get a course on a blank background like you see in this video.

Hello! This route is a local mountain trail run. I got the GPX file via email and then i pulled it into Garmin Connect website. When i pulled it into Garmin Connect i made my own route, and syncèd it with my watch.

you can't as 6 doesn't have navigation option. Maps are only available on pro version.

how long does the battery last? is it possible to make another round without battey dying?

Hi, the battery can last a long time depending on witch settings you use. On this hike i used gps-glonas + bluetooth. I was out for 5 ish hours and went from 100% battery to 65 - 70%.
