My Garmin lasts for roughly 18 days and it‘s an Amoled. Using activities for roughly 90 minutes every day.

I wanted garmin, I like the watch really much, but after I seen what it offers I realised I won’t be using 80% of its functions so better and logical choice for me was Apple Watch cellular since I have iPhone. And I use few g shock as well which are not smartwatches.

@NaviNavi-1uu8tg Yes, there are quite a few options on the Garmin that I won't use, like golfing or the jumpmaster. My son has my g shock mudmaster ggb100, and it needs a battery change. Just like the apple watch, you'll be charging that watch up more than you'll use it, at least with the fenix you get three weeks before charging it again.

The main feature i want is wrist detection….. It’s unbelievable in 2024 that this has not been implemented through software. I Can’t even put my watch on my bedside table without it vibrating loudly with every notification. Don’t get me wrong i love my epic gen 2, but it’s a joke that i either have to turn it off or put on do not disturb every time i take it off. Im not interested in wearing my watch 24 hours a day. No idea how people sleep with them on.

In order for me to switch back to Garmin, they simply need to include basic mobile phone functionality. It's just ridiculous that I 2024 need to wear both a Garmin and my mobile phone. That's the biggest reason for choosing Apple Watches. Well that and the ridiculous lacking Garmin pay.
