I'm buying into a club with a dual G5 setup in a Cherokee 180. As an instrument student coming from a non-standard 6-pack in a 1966 Cherokee, these dual G5s are simply astounding. Absolutely amazing how much this is going to simplify IFR flight paired with the 750. Good on ya, Garmin - bravo!

It is a great avionics suite although quite simple. I hopefully to see several aircraft being converted here in Brazil for this one.

Nice...but Garmin has a weird--and expensive--way of defining affordable. I'm glad they're finally getting competition from Dynon, Bendix/King & Avidyne.
@rexr33063 жыл бұрын
I mean it costs $1350 on sportys. If you compare that to a traditional vacuum attitude indicator its only 400-600 dollars more, which makes sense since you also get airspeed and altitude with it and its more reliable. Now a g1000 is a rip off compared to dynon that I do agree with

Does the altimeter setting that you put into the primary altimeter's Kollsman window automatically transfer to the G5 or must you also set the atmospheric pressure separately into the G5? Very nice avionics!

We have lots of great options for you! The G5 is a great starting point. There are a couple of versions of it - it offers a replacement for your existing Attitude Indicator and for your Directional Gyro. Not only does it remove the dependency from failure-prone gyro instruments, in a lot of cases, the Garmin dealer is able to remove the vacuum system entirely. Check them out here: buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/570665/pn/K10-00280-00#overview We also offer a series of cost effective navigators that offer LPV approach capability.
