This is very helpful in attempting to understand the newer displays. I’m a rusty pilot looking to restart flying and seeking ways to understand. Many vids assume you know a lot when you don’t!

Hello, Im looking at purchasing the same setup for my C150. Do you remember your total cost for the instruments and install?

How does it work when power is lost? the G5 has build in ADAHRS and is just taking air pressure readings for speed and alt, the GI275 needs external ADAHRS from all i know. Does it get power from the GI275?

Do you have the factory autopilot installed and were they able to connect it to the GI 275 system? I've got a 77 Archer II that I stacked with a 650Xi, 345, and a 274 MFD that was just installed this past summer. That installer said Garmin was coming out with an integration for my A/P and the 275 HSI and ADI and he didn't have time to install the HSI and ADI last summer. Just wondering.........

Nice video thank you. Just checked the Garmin website and I’m not quite clear. Will the HSI display a glideslope? I’m assuming so?

Nice video! Thanks for sharing. I am considering getting 2 GI-275’s, but not the engine monitor at this time due to budget. I see you kept your turn coordinator. Can you let me know your rationale for that? Also, is that a docking station for your iPad on the co-pilot side. How do you like it in that position? Thanks!

What gyro was that we can hear spinning down when you shut off the battery?

any idea what kind of weight you saved pulling all the steam gauges and engine instruments out?
@pbwaviation3163 жыл бұрын
Our net weight savings was roughly 15lbs. Thanks for watching!

Can the GI 275 really replace the primary altimeter??
@chrisah12 жыл бұрын
yes, as long as you have two you can entirely replace the old gauges, but check for your locality. The use of the GI-275 and G5 etc. have allowed people to remove the vacuum system and unecessary cabling (reduction in weight and increase in air flow around instruments) as well as to convert their old aircraft into technically advanced ones (TAA) when adding the other required GPS/transponder/auto pilot capabilities etc.

If only my Mooney was that easy to start in real like. Those IO550 are tough to start.
@bigfootflyxr61602 жыл бұрын
IO550s should start easy. What’s your start technique?
@frankward672 жыл бұрын
@@bigfootflyxr6160 pretty much what the POH calls for, mixture rich, prop full forward, throttle full forward, master on, low boost pump for 3-5 seconds, throttle idle ( I've found maybe one twist in works best), start. Usually the plane won't start on the first time if it's been sitting a few days. Heck the prop won't even turn for several seconds in the starting process. Second time it usually starts. I just start over with the starting process. I will use the low boost pump but will not do the 3-5 seconds before moving throttle back to idle.

Can you parameter alerts? Like have a carb temp alert when it falls towards freezing (if you have your 275 on another screen)
@muhammadhidayat21973 жыл бұрын
yes it can, if you go above the configured temperature, it will flash in red.
