It is through some tablet or smartphone where you do the streaming out to a Wi-Fi video dongle to hdmi (mirrorcast) through eg AirPlay if using iOS

His I have the Sionyx command a Garmin 8610xsv ,I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but to see the cam on my tablet I need to have it on the wifi Sionyx and when I switch it to stream to my chart plotter it drops the cam ,I can not have it ob two different wifi Chanels at one, how are you doing both at the same time thanks

his I asked before but did not get a responses have my sionyx streaming to my iPhone on the sionyx wifi from the camera, if I then change the phone to mirror on the mirror cast it drops the camera, cant be hooked into two separate wifi addresses at the same time ,I am watching the video and I see you are doing this but not sure how any help would be great.thanks

I did not ,I am still trying to get my sionyx on my Garmin ,same problem,so I have my sionyx on my iPad and also tried my iPhone ,as I try to stream it to the dongle plugged into the hdmi I have to pick the doggle in my wifi list and I have to disconnect the sionyx ,again I see you doing it, what is the manufacture of your dongle maybe that's the issue

Moose Marine. I have a couple questions. So if you’re running a Miracast. What miracast are you using? Does it require an outlet or USB to power it? How are you planning to power the Mira cast with the GPS in the boat?? If you’re using the sionyx WiFi to the tablet. What WiFi do you use to connect the tablet to the miracast?

yes, you can power it from the USB on the 84xx series mfd or via an onboard usb powered source

we just used a cheap one from Jaycar. depending on where yo uare in the world. amazon has a fair few cheap ones.

Moose, wow I just came across this video. If I understand you right, you are just mirroring your tablet to the chartplotter using something like Miracast. I assume you have a receiver plugged into the chartplotter. Is that correct? You could really monetize this video and process here in the US. The biggest complaint about the Sionyx camera is that it does not display on the chartplotter. I am going to play around with it but wonder if you have any updates to this video given it was made almost 3 years ago. I look forward to hearing from you.
