I went from Fenix 5 Plus to the Instict 2 Solar and love it. Only thing i miss a little is onboard music. I do wish I'd spent a bit extra getting the larger 2x for the nicer bezel style and the l.e.d torch

I used to have a 5 but I never used the music feature. I have to say I love the size and the torch has saved me a few times when I needed some light. I appreciate your comment!

Hi thabks for video. 1. How does it looks on your wrist? 2. What is a size of your wrist?
@GothamDIYandMore5 ай бұрын
@sllawo3881 1. It looks pretty normal especially because the strap has such a wide adjustment. 2. 16.7cm or 6.6 inches.

I got mine about 2 mos after you got yours, I love mine. Takes a little getting used to after coming from a Casio G-Shock because of the depth of settings on the Garmin.

I was torn between the G Shock BDH2000 and the Garmin but after a ton of research, I went with the Garmin and I’m glad I did. I love it and all the features make it worth it. I agree that the settings take a little getting used to but eventually it all becomes “muscle memory.” I appreciate your comment!

Hi. 1. Do you need to input passcode every time you want to use Garmin Pay? 2. Does this watch have nap tracking feature? 3. Is there any issue with getting notifications after some time? Do you need to keep Garmin Conect app I the background on your iPhone?
@GothamDIYandMore5 ай бұрын
@Larokko5 Thanks for you comment/questions! 1. Let me get back to you on the Garmin Pay. I have not used that feature but I will and update. 2. I have noticed that it does not track naps. it seems to only associate one sleep activity a day. However, I rarely nap so maybe it just hasn't figured out the few times I've napped since owning it. I will double check naps and let you know. 3. No issues at all with notifications! I had more issues with notifications and other feature not syncing with my Apple watch than with my Garmin 2X Solar! No, you can turn it off from running in the background and then just sync when you open the app. I typically only let it sync at the end of the day.

1. For the garmin pay, normally i just input the code once a day and you can use it the whole day without inputting it again. Make sure your bank supports garmin pay, if u're not sure. 2. No doesn't have nap tracking but will document the nap period as sleep if you nap longer than 3hrs or so. 3. You dont need to be running the app in the background of your phone. It's always connected, unless u turn on airplane mode (on the phone or the watch), or from the tactical version's stealth mode feature (which stops all wireless communications on the watch's side).

Great review. I bought mine November 2023 to replace my Fenix 6 Solar. This watch is a game changer. The battery is phenomenal. I get 2 weeks + out of mine normally running 30 odd miles a week and sleep tracking every night. Also GPS acquisition is pretty much instant before a run and as a bonus it's also multiband GPS. Amazing watch.

@soloman01uk thanks for the comment! Yes, I have similar battery life but I’m definitely not a runner lol. I have used the GPS when I do some hiking. What made you make the change?

@@GothamDIYandMore The Fenix 6 Solar was a great watch. I'd had it a couple of years but the battery life wasn't up to par to what I needed it for. Sleep tracking for example drained 5-6% every night. In comparison my Instinct 2X sometimes doesn't even drain 1%. I was getting about 6 days before I had to charge, which is still good in comparison to an Apple watch but I wanted more. Wasn't that fussed about a colour screen either and the 'Solar' was a bit of a gimmick. In the Instinct 2X it's a lot more viable. Also, the flashlight is genius, use it a lot.

@@GothamDIYandMore I've owed quite a few exercise watches from very early Garmin's to Suunto's and the Instinct 2X is by far the best. I'll be interested to see what Garmin do with the Instinct 3X, which hopefully will exist at some point.

Ciao e complimenti per l’ottimo video. Anche io vorrei comprare l’instinct 2X però credo di avere il polso troppo piccolo. Il mio polso misura 17 cm. Quanto misura il tuo polso?
@GothamDIYandMore5 ай бұрын
