I jave been watching many of these to figure out my lvs62 investment. Good cuts, i think you, or someone else did a 2 hour where they explained batteries, etc.....as an engineer, i dont need that, i need tips that reduce me spending 5 hours tuning the device. Thanks, glad there are still real ppl out there makimg useful content.

Thanks for all your advise with the Garmin livescope. I just got mind set up in my Hobie pro angler and was wondering what videos you would recommend to start out with. I have the lvs32 and I have the heading sensor as well. Currently I only have one monitor which can use my side and down scan and mapping. I know with your knowledge and experience you can get me kicked off in the right direction Hope to hear back from you soon Thanks Randy

Thanks for the informative video, I took notes and will try your recommended settings. I'm 63yo and bought my retirement boat recently with a 106 sv with the 34 transducer along with a Helix at the bow. I have what seems like a dumb question: The depth of the water on the Garmin is about 4ft shallower then the correct depth on the Helix, how do I adjust it to show the true depth? thanks

Question, want to make sure I hear you correct. If you’re mounting your transducer to the trolling motor then you need an 8 degree mount but if you’re mounting to a pole, I have a “Rite-Hite” turrent pole that mounts to the starboard side of the trolling motor, that I should use an “0” degree mount. I’ll take any help.

@Garmin Guru: All Things Livescope And Fishing I understand, but you need to have a starting point to set up your settings before You can leave them in a position where you can leave them alone. I would be curious about the order in which you go about that process. TKS

I have a UHD2 54cv running latest version of Vision Plus each time I turn it on after I acknowledge the safety warning there’s a warning active captain card removed or missing it goes away quickly then it warns me that maps cannot be unlocked which has to be acknowledged before the unit will go to startup screen. After that unit seems to function properly. Any ideas what is causing this or if it’s normal? Thanks in advance I really enjoy your videos.

So I'm one of the poor folk who can only afford the 93sv and I'm not finding after many hours of monkeying around the settings you are showing. I'm not finding ghost reject, noise reject, color gain. Am I fishing to cheap of a sonar, or just not understanding the unit? Thanks.

How do you set scope where you can see the splash on the surface as far out as 90 feet ?
@The_Garmin_Guru Жыл бұрын
Honestly you should be able to but realizing the beam is 30 feet wide that’s a lot of surface to show in a 2d image so it might not be as visible. And honestly I never put mine on anything past 50-60 feet.

Randy, this is the best video yet! One suggestion? Have you considered showing your video in chapters? Here's a hockey site that shows chapters (let your cursor hover over the timeline): kzbin.info/www/bejne/mae7pY2vYpaGibc Or sometimes other sites show this in the author's comments. For example: 1. Gain: 1:43 2. TVG: 4:08 3. Ghost Tree Reject: 9:40 4. Noise Reject: 15:26 5. Color Gain: 17:36 6. Color Limit: 21:54 7. Focus: 25:10 8. Set Depth: 30:00 Thanks again for your best video to date!!!
