Garmin should make a dedicated SP02 wearable. Make it twice as wide and double the battery...maybe even have a fingertip attachment that connects from wrist to finger for increased accuracy. I’d buy that alone g th or $99.

I've been wearing my Vivoactive 4S for several months now, and it seems to me that the Pulse Ox measuring is way to low. I mostly get values in between 80 and 95, rarely higher than 95. When I get a reading with a finger-device, it's always 98-99-100... I had hoped that Garmin would have a better and more accurate SPO2 monitor, but as it is it is pretty useless 😒

Sia il pulse Ox ,sia il rilevamento della frequenza cardiaca al polso,poco attendibile

As PulseOx is a heavy battery consumer, could we have the ability to turn it on for a few minutes per day, to produce spot checks? This would be similar to having a portable finger end monitor, which is typically only used for five minutes at a time.

It does not show right numbers on the Forerunner 965. I have tested it against 5 different dedicated pulse oximeters. When I measure on one of the dedicated pulse oximeters, I get 97-98%. At the same time my Garmin Forerunner 965 shows 90-91%, which is not true at all. The numbers are measured on the same arm at the same time - I have no hair on my wrist. So this cannot be the cause of the wrong reading. So it is not precise at all..

I can measure my pulse ox during an exercise?
@chuckmartin57733 ай бұрын
Not real certain it is very accurate. I bought a brand new Garmin Fenix 7 Sapphire and the readings I get seem to be very low. Consistently running between 88-92 so I went a bought an actual fingertip Ox reader and the readings are running around 97%. I will do more testing using them at the same time.

Is it useful to monitor pulsox during an intense workout to make sure im breathing properly, getting enough o2
@GarminRetailTraining Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question. Trying to track Pulse Ox during a workout would be tricky. Since Pulse Ox tracking in the Garmin smartwatches would require you to be still, you would have to stop to take your reading. Also, once you stop to take a measurement your body is really fast to get back to full oxygen saturation.

Somewhat off topic question here, but if I have two Garmin watches (Vivoactive 3 & a Vivomove Style) can the data collected via each watch be collaborated within the same account/app? Or would I have two entirely separate sets of data spread over two accounts? FYI I don't have either of these watches yet. One would be for work and the other for home. Thanks!
@GarminRetailTraining3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question. Yes, with the Garmin Connect TrueUp feature, you can wear and sync data collected from multiple activity trackers. Most of our watches are compatible with this feature and only a select few are not. The following link has more information and compatible devices. I hope this helps. support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=a2uguZzTQG4I2HTBvHa0gA

Despite all of the blah blah there was nothing about a recommended body position. there were a few shots of people sitting, so I assume that sitting is ok. what about lying down? sure you can track pulseox while sleeping so lying down list work too,but is there a recommended position

Thank you for your question. It's possible that the Pulse Ox card is hidden on your "My Day" page. To check, scroll down to the bottom of the "My Day" page and select "Edit My Day". You will see all of the active cards at the top and the hidden cards at the bottom. Make sure the Pulse Ox page is active. So reading between the lines ..... pulse=ox reads oxygen in your blood by heart rate , elevation ( altimeter ) and GPS movement , ie , it reads what it SHOULD be , and not what it actually is ?
@GarminRetailTraining4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question. Our Pulse Ox tracking provides an estimation of the user's SpO2%. While every effort is made to ensure a high degree of accuracy, there are certain limitations that can cause inaccurate measurements. The user's physical characteristics, fit of the device, and presence of ambient light may impact the readings, as well as excessive motion and the position of the device. It is important to keep your arm/sensor still for approximately one minute for best accuracy.
