I agree that his Dad probably wouldn’t have gone on Oprah. However Herbert Armstrong did meet with and have relationships with MANY world leaders and figures during his “hey day”. And I am So thankful that GOD sent The Truth through these men. I may not have believed everything that was said, but GTA was, and IS Stil to this day (2022) one of the best preachers, well informed, intelligent and just straight forward guys as this day and time has ever seen.

Only other guy comparable would be Chuck Missler. Who was more informed considering his military/government background, but more flawed with Biblical knowledge. GTA still is the better speaker biblically.😊

Me and my wife had a drink with him in Tyler Texas years ago. Sat at the bar with him. We knew who he was and he just talked a bit back and forth. No preaching. just chatting

The Coming of the Lord - Caught up (rapture) to be with Christ! No one disputes the term "Rapture" is not in the Bible, but the very concept is. In 1 Thessalonians 4,verse 13-18, the Apostle Paul speaks clearly of a one day coming when Christ will descend from heaven (not touch the ground) send out His angels and gather in His Church before HE pours out His wrath upon this earth. The church, though it will go through trials and tribulations, will not face the wrath of God that will be poured out upon this earth in the end times. Paul writes, "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,"" (1Thessalonians 5:9) Read here Paul's encouragement to the church. The point He makes, Christ is coming to get you before He pours out His wrath upon the wicked of this earth. 1Thessalonians 4:13-18 13: But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14: For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15: For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16: For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18: Wherefore comfort one another with these words. The Christian brothers and sisters in the church of Thessalonica were under heavy persecution so much so they thought Christ had already come and they had been left behind. So Paul writes them this letter of encouragement and assurance that Christ had not yet come for His church, and they had not been left behind. In the Old Testament Book of Genesis, Chapter 5, 22-24, Enoch walked with God and was not because God took him. Hebrews 11:5-6; "By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God." Enoch was caught up to be with Christ without ever dying. his body was changed (translated) from moral to immortal, that he might enter heaven's realm. Jesus said, (John 11:25-26) "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?" He was speaking of that day when he comes down from heaven and calls His church up before He pours out His wrath upon this earth. Jesus said, when we see the world in almost complete chaos, as we do today, He said, " ...then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." (Luke 21:28) Garner Ted is a babbler. He talks but he never touches on those Scriptures that speak clearly to a one day calling up of Christ's Church. What Scripture is Garner Ted offering you to support his position? Better yet, what is his position? All he is doing in this video is criticizing and mocking people like me who believe in what the Scriptures reveal, rather than what Garner Ted says. When you send for his tapes, mark it down and count on it, there will be some plea for financial support, just as he condemns other TV ministries of doing, he will do. Being caught up to be with Christ (referred to as the Rapture) is a biblical truth that you don't want to miss out on.

You do not know the difference between the resurrection and so called rapture. Throughout your statement you interpret things in a way that supports what you think rather then taking things as they are said. You should not call anyone a babbler because you do what you accuse others of doing.

You forgot to mention in Jude 1:9 when Michael was resurrecting Moses body. That’s why you see on mount of transfiguration Moses and Elijah, one representing the dead and resurrected the other translated without seeing death.

The word Rapture is not in the English Bible. But it is in the Latin Versions which predate the English. Raptus. The English Bible says “caught up to heaven” which means the exact same thing. 1 Thes. 4:17. Read it. The word “Bible” is not in the Bible. Enoch, Elijah, Jesus, were all transported, caught up, Raptured to heaven. Paul said he was temporarily relocated to the 3rd heaven. Isaiah was also in heaven and described it. Rev. 12:5 the man child is “caught up” to God. Raptured. Also, no Singing Angels in the Bible. No 3 Wise Men either. I still like GTA.
