I just dyed my hair Garnier #462 Sugar Beet. My hair was light brown with blonde streaks with some gray sprinkled in and the light brown turned dark brown almost black, and the blonde turned the color I wanted, that purply burgundy you have. I washed it like 4x bc imo it was too dark. Now I can already see my blonde streaks peeking through. Looks ok but not what I wanted, I wanted it ALL burgundy. My starting color wasn't anywhere near as dark as yours so idk why it came out so dark.

+The Peaches Thank u 😊 but about the hair color, honestly I don't think it will show up at all. Black needs to be removed with a color remover and possibly bleach. Also blue and black are cool tones and burgundy and reds are warm tones so they are completely opposite 😕 I would try removing at least some of the color to get to at least a medium brown. I know there's a drugstore color remover called Oops. Just do ur research and read the directions. Good luck ❤️

If i wanted to make this slightly brighter and less dark, could I do half the box 20 developer and half my own bought developer? Just take it up shade lighter so its a little easier to see? Or would be be more beneficial to just use a separate 30 developer with this box dye? My hair is almost black; it's a really dark brown.

Red is the hardest to hair color to keep up. It constantly bleeds unfortunately. Your best bet is to get non sulfate shampoo and conditioner for color treated red hair. Try not to shampoo to often.

The only concern I have is that ur hair will be two different colors since ur virgin hair “new growth” takes color much better than the previously processed hair. So unless u want hot roots sadly U must lift the rest of the hair even if it’s similar to ur roots.

I had previously dyed black hair, I bleached with volume 30 twice a week in between bleaches. Then I used purple shampoo and conditioner once. Then dyed it this color and looks really good get compliments all the time. Hope this helps

I dyed my hair burgundy. It looks more red than burgundy and just like you, it shows only in the sunlight. You can see a little bit, but looks brown still. Im looking forward to dying my hair again but using a different brand. Yours is VERY PRETTY. Yours is more violet than mine. Mine is more of a red ish. I also had VERY VERY dark brown hair. I saw that brand at the store so I might get that one next!

I've been staying true to the Iroiro colors company that I'm affiliated with because the red lasts soooo long for me it's so worth it! Even tho it's semi permanent it's actually the longest lasting color I've ever had. I'm obsessed with it. I have a video on it I did a review and a discount code if u ever wanna try it. How bright it will come out all depends on the color of ur hair so if u don't want it to be as bright as mine start with light brown hair maybe. 💕

I have wanted to dye my hair dark purple for the past three years and never have. My fiance made the suggestion today that I dye it dark purple. So I went to Target and bought Garnier Nutrisse V2 dark Intense violet. I was going to get dark intense burgundy but I didn't want it to look like a purpleish red color. So I was happy I found this one on my way out of the aisle. My natural color is a dirty dish water blonde color. But, I recently dyed my hair back in August a light brown however it didn't turn out the color I wanted since it was previously dyed dark black twice since January. So, I can't wait to see how it will turn out.

+A Wells This will not lift ur hair color so it will not show up on black hair. It's best on light and medium brown hair. U might have to bleach first and would def need 2 boxes 👍🏼

Rachael Snoxhill sounds like my work ughh why even worry about these colors they are not too bright say like manic panic colors. But I would suggest asking your job first before doing it. You don't want them to say you need to re dye it. They did that on this girl that worked with me she dyed it rose gold looked so pretty next thing you know they told her she needed to re dye it. I would have quit. She spent 200 dollars to dye it that color to only wear it for days. But good luck I am thinking of trying it lol. You

+helloemarie The BIGGEST thing that will help ur color last is only washing it 1-2 times per week! I promise u! I only wash mine once a week with dry shampoo in between. The shampoo I use is anything that's color safe, paraben free and sulfate free 👍🏼
