Wow congratulations from one Live Steamer to another, you guys have outdone yourselves with the detail that you have put into this beautiful machine. Outstanding. Graham from Brisbane Live Steamers, Queensland Australia.

The parts that connect to the side rods and wheels have such good paintwork that they look like plastic

Based on a 2 foot gauge South African prototype Class NGG 16 (Narrow Gauge Garratt). 1-C-1 + 1-C-1 Prototype perhaps by Bayer, Peacock, UK; but more probably from Franco-Belge.

The prototype for this loco was built by Hanomag - Hannoverische Maschinenbau AG - under licence.

This is pure madness! perhaps the largest size model you can get in any track gauge up to 7 1/4" , except maybe for a Big Boy or GL class Garratt on the same track gauge, altough they would be smaller in scale due to the wider track gauge the originals have. But anyway, beautifull crafted model, I saw a lot of cast parts, there where just a few compromises to operatability and safety, like the use of air brakes instead of vacuum brakes (maybe a requirement of the railway where it is going to operate), sitting space in the coal bunker and the placement of some of the controls in the cab for ease of access and control. Most other things are exactly replicated from the original. Owning one is just a dream for most of us, l fear, but I will already be very happy when I finish my On30 one.

I don´t know whether it is a rumour or not but I was told that this lovely engine is now sat in the engine shed of the Swiss Vapeur Parc at Le Bouveret and working at their line

Outstanding work!!! I would sell my house just to own one of these beautiful engines. Do you guys have a website where I can read more of this engine?. Thanks a lot!
@andrewscubes21474 жыл бұрын
Gabriel Martinez don’t think your house will be enough. Especially for maintaining the engine, getting fuel, and buying, assembling, and maintaining the track

All my life (12yrs) I’ve wanted to be an engine driver. I think it would be better to start with an engine this gauge instead of standard gauge.

I don't understand where foreigners get off thinking they can put their blogs on u.s. internet without translating to English go home and do your homework. that means if want to come back, then speak English. I liked the video about model trains, too bad it wasn't in English so that I could have enjoyed it more. youtube sucks as they shouldn't have allowed it to air without at least English subtitles.
