I have known, and loved, David Kincaids Civil War Irish Brigade music for years, even met him in Gettysburg once, never knowing about the Brandos until recently. I must say that I have a new favorite rock band now! I wish they would play in Grand Rapids, Michigan! I love them!

Wir warteten im Musiktheater Rex auf einen Auftritt und es wurden diverse Videos von Gruppen gezeigt. Darunter auch von den Brandos. Wir waren begeistert und haben uns ein paar Songs aus youtube angeschaut. Es ist die meistunterschätzte Band überhaupt. Wunderschöne Songs und Melodien, die man immer wieder hören kann. Mittlerweile hatten wir das Glück, sie live in Mainz zu sehen. Wenig Leute, aber es hat sich gelohnt. Schön auch, dass sie eine Live DVD rausgebracht haben. :-)

Due to a contract snafu, you mostly can't, though apparently they will be performing in NYC this August. David Kincaid, however, often performs his Civil War music on various battlefields in the East, which is a real treat for those of us who are lucky enough to fall in with him at events. One night I sat in a parlor in Gettysburg listening to him sing and play the mandolin, and felt like it was a private concert -- I guess it was!
