Looks like you did pretty good. I haven't been there in two weeks. Maybe in a few days I'll go back and look for a few crumbs. Probably have another group hunt toward the end of the month if you are interested.

What's the big deal? You guys seeded a spot that isn't your property and now you are complaining. I've watched your videos for years and have seen the holes you and your brothers left behind. The playground bully site was practically excavated by the Englehart's. Besides that you are seen many times throwing the trash off to the side, where is your finds bag? Larry, you get ZERO respect from the vast majority of diggers because we see the truth, unlike the morons who follow you around to scrape up your leftovers. You guys seed a site and can't even clean it out? That's like fishing in a bucket, haha! Just Stop making these stupid videos of yourself making a fool of yourself.

Great hunt. Definitely want to see how this detector handles OC beaches, dry, wet and water.

I like the z-lynk headphones however I was unfolding them to charge and the arm connecting the ear cup snapped. Just waiting for response from the dealer. maybe 2 months old. I'm not rough on my MD equipment and I'm just gutted.

Do you think all of those wheaties, the indian heads, and the buffalo nickel also were planted, or may some of them have already been there? These all seemed quite shallow, so I would guess they all were planted for that group hunt, although you said in the other video that good stuff had been found there. You can adjust the sounds, can't you? Supposedly it goes deeper in All Metal, but still tells you when it is "seeing" ferrous targets.

CUSTOM mode is same as COIN but you can save all your settings & it will keep them when you turn off the machine.
@coinhound84827 жыл бұрын
Robert, good job finding those coins with the AT Max. Most detectors as you know have a learning curve to some degree, so give it time. Here is a tip for that site, some of the coins were seeded 7-8+ inches down. I believe there are a lot more there.

That might be plastic in the old lid, but I heard that porcelin was used on many of the early Ball lids and maybe Mason lids also. Not an expert on the lid though so I could be wrong here.

Man, that thing sounds wierd or different from the pro. I don't know how long I could handle that sound range. I will have to get out my machine and see if different.

In ALL METAL mode everything is a mid tone, iron, foil or coins. To know if it's a possible coin you have to watch the digital I.D. 80's & 90's. Any distrim mode you'll get the high tone with possible coins, always with pennies. In ALL METAL I'm trying to learn the iron discrim with iron audio, cool feature.

Robert, I feel for you, I also have the gold fever, I would like to see you make a video of your Max at the beach.

did you ground balance the machine before you started? just wondering because if you change programs Garrett suggests ground balancing after the program change and of course before you start to detect

Are you playing with us? Every coin coming out is clean and old. I could never dig out dirt coins that clean. I'm just saying it isn't looking kosher! maybe back east on the Atlantic the dirt is much more dirty. LOL LOL
@coinhound84827 жыл бұрын
This was a seeded hunt site with coins that were bought and also coins that were found detecting. Sometimes in this dry Southern California area with it`s decomposed granite dirt there are some coins that do come out of the ground looking very clean though maybe 70 years old.

Definitely more depth with the max compared to the Pro or Gold. That alone is a huge plus for me. Having a gold machine as well, I'm a real fan of all metal mode. Hope this is helpful info

Robert, I started out with the bounty hunter then moved up to the AT GOLD. it was like sliced bread what a big improvement found lots of treasures. Then I bought the CTX 3030 and took it out to my old spots , to my complete disappointment I found lots more treasure in the same areas with the ctx . talk about a bummer. my AT GOLD is still with me but I hardly ever take it out anymore . The only time I do is when at work l go hunting during my breaks . if it gets stolen it won't hurt to bad . Big Mex wishes you the best.

Like you I'm learning the max. If you do a factory reset at the beginning of each hunt and be real anal about ground balancing over bare ground, it seems too make the max even better. It's a great detector but has a big learning curve.
