Found a woman's class ring from 1989, she's very happy to have it back. I used my new AT Pro, so thanks to Garrett, Aquachigger, Hoover Boys, Relic Recoverist, Nuggitnoggin,Quarter Hoarder, and all the other diggers out there for the inspiration.

A machine is as only as good on how you get to know your machine, I swung one of my White's for 10y found a option that was there and greatly improved my recovery! Now proudly swinging a AT Max with Reaper coil, and will be spending a lot of time in ghost towns and old 1800 foundations of pioneers at high altitude in CO. We own a couple claims as well so really looking forward to the spring, under snow now! Merry Christmas

I was getting really disgusted with my AT Max due to erratic behavior and CRAZY noises. Called in help from a friend and, even though I had already tried it, he suggested I do the ground balancing again. He was right. Fixed it. Now I can't wait to get out again.

HOW TO USE THE AT MAX !! POINT & SHOOT :-P ITS SUCH A USER FRIENDLY MACHINE I GUESS THATS WHY GARRETT DO SO WELL. I use the AT Pro and when I can afford it I will definitely upgrade to the MAX.

The Solo Searcher Keep your pro and buy a Nox 800! I’m not in any way saying Garrett is junk, because they are great machines! I’m saying instead have the best of both worlds. I have the Max and eventually going to buy the Nox 800 or if Garrett comes out with a better machine than the Max “AT Ultimate at $849🤔” or at the same price point as the Nox I will stick with the Garrett, because they are very simple, but great machines to use, just need more depth. Nox is a bit confusing on what you should be digging, and makes you dig almost everything with a good hit and a bit flimsy it’s the only downfalls of that machine. My Max is acting up a bit, glitchy shuts down by itself, so I’m going to see if I can still send it in an get it repaired!

hello! So at about 3:30 you go over a silver quarter. it says that it is 6" deep - but its sitting right there on the ground! Why is this?

Got mine last week took it out this weekend (1-27-19) and am having problems with the signals (VDI) being all over the map. A rusty nail 4" deep goes from 20-48-69-83. Just walking around it does every target it hits the same number crazy. It does not seem to settle into a niche. How can I stop this? I was deep in woods not towers, electrical lines or cell phones nearby.

@Matthew Hayslett Tried to GB several times and even put sensitivity down to 2 bars. I sent it back and the coil need upgraded to the new ones with a clear coating. That helped some but not enough signals still very chatty and jumpy. I just sold it and took the loss.
