Love Sumpter! Love loved riding Granite Hill Rd/ NFS 73 that goes north-west out of town, it goes passed the Ah Hee Diggings Interpretive Site outside of town which is where Chinese American Miners were forced to mine. Chinese Miners weren't allowed to file their own claims but they were allowed to lease worked out claims. So at the site you can see tons and tons of rock piles that were moved so that the Chinese Miners could expose the steambed underneath so they could pan for gold missed by earlier operations. Plus if you keep going East on 73, it will lead you to Anthony Lake and an EPIC ride on all the twisties! :)

@@lifeisforadv Right they totally ruined the land but the one good thing is it can't get any more ruined! Thats why I think goldmines are some of the best tourist destinations, send people to land that is already screwed up.
