We are putting one in with bigger blocks that have pins on the top like Legos. They are bigger than those blocks, and are just mage from the returned concrete at the concrete plant. We are out in the country so there's no inspections or anything, but there are a lot of these type walls in this area. Interesting to se how it is done in other areas!

So happy when I started watching this and yall were using the proper size blocks for the job. Too many companies building huge walls with 12” blocks.. I did a 900’ wall 35’ high with the big broncos. A whole summer of work.

We only specify adhesive for the 6.5" caps or freestanding units...those 39T's don't need it. The fitting block is to adjust for the batter with the double outside corners. With each course the block is stepping back, the fitting block allows the returns to step back as well.

Very nice wall. Did anyone else notice that the side dump hit the overhead services wires? Maybe it was just overhead comm wires, idk. Regardless, nice wall. I like the steps.

These look like they would also work for shoreline protection. Base row most important to get right. When your stacking and re checking for level, what exactly on the bottom side were you cutting with the concrete saw? Also, if you were going to build a wall with these style of blocks 3 or 4 rows high, could you build it perfectly straight rather than angle it back if it was holding back a large bluff. Dirtmonkey Stan had a video about geotextile too behind walls and not fabric. Alot of questions but your a smart man!

I’m looking to do a 36’ x 4’ block wall just like this, but I don’t have a big boy excavator to move the blocks. do you think I should rent one or can I get away with my skidsteer? The ground on a slope so working conditions are not ideal. I think I know the answer, but…
