What a superb catch!! Darren it takes a gentleman to release a fish like that, hat off to you buddy!! Sorry about the rod Kent, it breaks one stride when stuff like that happens, just don't let it get to your head where you now start casting softer to try and spare the rod. If it breaks it breaks. Love how you make one feel totally apart of the gang! Keep it up!

Well done Darren. Ja that's one of the best feelings in the world. I had the privilege to land a couple in my live time but there's no way to explain how you feel when you get the rattle on your rod when the Garrick takes tour bait/lure and then the clean fair fight afterwards. Come Kent , put the shoes on and ware the badge. It's a goal in live. Thanks for sharing a good video.

Many thanks Xris. You’ve hit the nail on the head. That feeling is simply amazing. Kent will get his soon soon. It was just my lucky day.

Always make sure to tighten the joints pretty often while spinning the tip section gets loose after alot of throwing, good chance it wasnt in properly and thats why it broke

Congrats on the catch and release. With respect to any rod breakage with Assassin they will do a full analysis on the breakage and advise. Send it via Luckys or Basil Manning and the guys at Assassin will let you know via your retailer.

An epic catch Darren, well done on the release, I myself have caught a few an haven't eaten 1 Garrick yet. And to Kent, I think the rods breaking coz you are mid casting, maybe try to keep the weight to the ground or closer to the tip. Had the same issue then I tried the ground casting and haven't broken my spinning setup yet. Tight lines Larnies.

Hi Don, not yet. Apparently this has been the situation there for some time and authorities are aware of it. I will give some feedback on this thanks
@jan-phillipventer97392 жыл бұрын
Maybe there's something wrong with your casting action which is causing your rods to break
@KentsFishing2 жыл бұрын
Maybe I loaded it too much, but these rods are meant to be loaded. So not sure. Waiting for the manufacture report. I will give feedback on my next video

From time to time that rod gets loose with casts u have to keep pulling it down tight
@pieterhoekstra98872 жыл бұрын
That doesn't happen to good rods, suggest you look to changing the make you buy.
@clentcharra9532 жыл бұрын
Well done on the Garrick Darren. The rod breaking is it not your technique of casting. I have seen it quite a few times with guys that spin with us. Your line too long and 100% percent of the time the while swinging the sinker or spinners taps the rod creating a week spot on the rod. Assassin is a Gentleman's rod in the sense of it's a sensitive rod. I learnt with my rods they all in tube's. I maybe wrong, but I fished with a grinder for the past 35 years and if the rod had a week spot would have broke when you hooked that salmon.
