Weird & wonderful. I like Christina but after a recent YMH binge found myself literally tensing up at the sound of her voice. One of her worst habits is agreeing with Tom on some mundane point -- e.g. that being extremely good-looking can be a curse -- & then repeating it over & over & over, slightly rewording it each time but with increasing volubility as if she's substantively expounding on the topic rather than beating a dead horse with a sledge hammer. The icing on the cake regarding the above was when she dragged _philosophy_ into it: "You know how philosophers study beauty & like it's . . . beauty is symmetry, it's . . . it's _aesthetic_ . . . you know? But you can like have _so much_ symmetry that it's not even attractive, it's like, it's like you're not even a human being at that point, you know? You know? Like it's . . . ugh!
