I have been using it for 9 months now. I switched to Breeze, but kept the layout and Icons. Other than that, it’s an amazing distro and appreciate a lot of the uniqueness you’ll find with this distro. It’s a great distro for all users. Being a seasoned Linux user doesn’t preclude them from user friendly features. It’s these features that make this distro truly unique.

@@TheDesertBlizzard I actually kind of agree. The devs made a lot of interesting decisions and I appreciate that

You can completely change how it looks in only a few clicks.. I don't know why this is even something to talk about.. It's KDE-- change it to however you like it.. Does it RUN? that's what matters.. (watch "Garuda Linux: from ugly to beautiful" and he'll show you how to easily change how it looks).

@@LinuxInvictus I installed Garuda on some old thinkpad laptop and it works pretty well, even the animations. I like the internet browser because it doesn't show advertisements like firefox at start, just some empty icons. Do you know if there is some easy way to install a printer ? i mean .. iam a linux mint user xD and mint recognise the printers automatically and here i have no idea how to do it. I downloaded the some rpm file with the drivers and installed it via the terminal but idk, still not vissible when i try to print something.Greetings

I use Garuda since about 2 and a half years, and as a total Linux noob, I encountered a serious problem only once, literally. Pretty much stable to me. The neon clors hurts a bit the retina at first, but once used to it, it's pretty usable. Nice and honest review. Could have turned the music a bit down and your voice up though. Greetings from Switzerland ! EDIT : I just heard the last words "pray every day" and I totally agree, God bless you brother !

@fredericjaquet3729 thanks. I'm always fiddling with the background music so I appreciate the feed back

Been daily driving this one for a year. I replaced the DRAGONS with a plain black background. The neon icons are kinda helpful for an older guy with less good eyesight. Other than that, it's been just great, zero complaints. Btw Firedragon is based off Floorp, itself a Firefox derivative.

@malcaniscsm5184 I actually might do a video on fire dragon. The reason being is that outside of a few game studios you don't really see much software from there. And even when you do, it's generally either Sony or related to Sony who while they make a ton of software, their still primarily a hardware manufacturer.

I like your video. I would like to see what you think of Garuda Linux after a few months of using it. It is currently my dual boot linux on my gaming laptop, but unfortunately, I don't use that laptop anymore. My son uses that now. Sacrifices.. =***((( I have two main systems. Both Ubuntu 24.04. One is my gaming PC... It works very well, but I now wish it was Garuda Linux. Unlike you, I love the Garuda aesthetics, and KDE. The reason this main gaming PC went Ubuntu instead of Garuda, is solely because I was afraid I would have issues with WOW, BDO and Star Citizen. The games I play. I now see that Lutris and Nvidia work well with Garuda, so I would have been ok! Hmmm.... I don't know Do I wanna go Arch on my gaming system? I am still undecided. My other Ubuntu 24.04 PC is an old AMD game system, I build 10 years ago. I run local LLMs using Ollama, do android app development, and school work on this PC. I figure I'll keep this one Ubuntu, because it seems like Ubuntu is the open source OS of choice when it comes to AI.

@CYBONIX I think Garuda would be much better for gaming then Ubuntu because it has more up to date hardware support and nvidia built in. If I come back ro Garuda it might be the cinnamon edition. Though I usually love kde
