Nice review. I think for someone who doesn't use one very often this would be a good option. I see it's discontinued but there are other options in this price range. Always good to have a loaner saw so I may have to check some of them out.

I think this just shows how much markup the American stock brand chainsaw have. I had a $49 electric corded chainsaw from Harbor Freight that lasted for several years. Used it to cut up 4” diameter and smaller branches for home firewood use. I also now have a Wen 18” corded electric chainsaw as my primary saw for cutting firewood. Cut into logs with my battery electric, drag to my wood yard, and cut up with the Wen. Quieter, cleaner, no messing with oil-gas mix, and lighter weight saw for me. I am 75 years old. If I wanted to back to gas saws, I would buy this one! Thanks for showing it!

Seems to work well. Impressive, because ash is considered to be hardwood. Have you test the chain brake yet?

Yes. The chain brake works well. You can see me using it in the video, but I didn't explain it with commentary. I'd say the ash here is harder than maple, but not as hard as oak.

Hi, Big Jim. Very good question. I have been thinking the same thing myself. I don't have the answer yet. My understanding is that the chain has to fit the bar. One particular chain might fit multiple brands of bars. Right now I don't know if any chains available on the shelf locally fit it or not. I'm guessing/hoping that this bar is a clone of some popular brand and chains etc will be compatible. I've seen listings on Temu for packs of multiple chains for cheap. I'm thinking this might be the way to go. It could be the topic of a future video when I get more answers. But time will tell........................
