I remember my daughter when she 4 and I remember the day she got married. i walked her down the isle and it took all the will power I had not to cry. But afterwards I went back to the house and sat in her room for a couple of hours and I cried like a two year old. Now she has 4 kids and has been working in the hospital for over 25 years. But she is still my little girl.

Not a dad but I worried about my nephew when he was smaller. Every cough, spit up and little bump had me shaking. And the day he knocked himself out jumping off the kitchen table, I thought I lost him. As much as the 4 year old can get on my nerves, I made a promise I'd be there for him if his parents couldn't. I say this cuz my nephew is SO precious to me and if anything happens to him, I'd be more devastated then when my dad passed away.
