rob2049 --Except he recovered remarkably well from the accident that was years ago. The tics, odd lurching and nonsensical responses started at least ten years later. TIA, or maybe drugs or a combination of both those things has led to confusing behavior. It’s sad, whatever the reason.

Gary Busey is a really great guy. the whole interview is he jovial and open. alot of people call him insane but please note this about his personal history: "Busey was severely injured in a motorcycle accident in which he was not wearing a helmet. His skull was fractured, and doctors feared he suffered permanent brain damage." cut the guy some slack :)

I suffered a head injury 10 years ago, I still don't know where I am in the recovery process. You never know where you are mentally. I thought I was fine the day after, I wasn't. I thought I was fine a year after, I wasn't. I thought I was fine 5 years after, I wasn't. Physically, I'm fine, mentally, I really have no idea. I can relate to Gary's sometimes obscure behaviour. He always was a little different. I think his head injury just freed up more Gary Busey. I wish him all the best, the man is a legend.

I don't know if anyones seen him in the UK big brother but the entire house are bullying the poor guy. We need some American votes to get Busey to win it, the man is frankly a legend and they are being so condescending as well as talking him down constantly. He might be a little weird but he's a really kind man.

I'm in the UK and to be honest I only had a vague remembrance of who he was film wise, but regardless I cant help feel sorry for him. I can't fully tell if he is putting some of it on it in the BB house, but he obviously has problems and the lack of any kind of empathy (as difficult as he may be to live with) is very difficult too watch. I hope he does well in BB just as a case in point over adversity.

Morag Cameron I genuinely hope he comes out and says he was faking it because it will make them all look like idiots and does not justify what they've done to him at all. Busey is in a win-win situation because even if it was all entirely an act, the fact that they treated him like shit just shows up their true personalities. He's been patient and understanding with every other housemate and hasn't been talking behind anyone elses backs in comparison to everyone else who bitches about him as soon as he leaves the room. It's gotten so bad now that they bitch about him IN FRONT of him because they know he's hard of hearing.

For those of you wondering why he does the things he does...he had a motorcycle wreck in 1988 and wasn't wearing a helmet. It cracked his skull...the doctor's think that he is permanently brain damaged. But Gary Busey is awesome...he is truly a character. One thing I admire about him is how brutally honest he is.
