On-U Sound System.... it was an entire sub universe of English art, unto itself. Nothing like it. I saw Clail + Tackhead + Sherwood playing the desk, twice in Australia. Skip McDonald and Doug Wimbish (guitar & bass) looked like they must have born with the instruments already attached. Rounded out with the drummer Keith LeBlanc, they were just brilliant.

his END OF THE CENTURY PARTY release of 1991 was huge on the radio in Boston. This song came out in 1993 and is as fantastic, if not more, but we never got it here stateside. The EndofCenturyParty is out of print and all but impossible, even to order on line. Here is a talent largely buried in the US - maybe due to his overt leftist sentiments?
