I am stunned. I never thought I would ever see another true blues player/singer of this caliber the rest of my days. Hendrix, Stevie Ray gone. This is great. My kind of blues.

This man is so fucking AMAZING... His voice, his phrasing that's part lead, part rhythm... he's truly a gem in the current shit heap of music these days. Between him and the Black keys, Blues/rock are staying alive and well.

xOneDudeArmy How does he rip off? Unless hes taking an exact lick from a song its not ripping off. Im inspired by Chuck Berry as are many other people. Being inspired by an artist doesn't mean hes ripping him off. So fuck off.

***** totally agree with you lol just like majority of the 60s and 70s rock guitarists were so influenced by blues guitarists like chuck berry bb king etc there not copying or ripping them off there influenced by the way they play guitar and the scales they use this guy obviously doesn't understand how guitarists work
@Joemommas

I'm currently learning how to play guitar, I'm heavily inspired by Eddie Van Halen, and Chuck Berry, Both are my all time favorite players. I can honestly say Garry Clark Jr is on that list, wow amazing stuff. Best guitar player in recent history by far, this man is amazing. We all no guitar playing ain't supposed to be a sport, but it is. I bet the farm no matter who you bring Garry whips their ass, easily. Garry knows how to fuck your shit up lol. Guitar God status.

As Angus Young once said, Chuck Berry wrote every single riff for the guitar. Everyone since is simply putting their own spin on them. Every artist has their influences and pay homage to those influences, that's all this song is. I guess the Stones and Clapton stole everything from Muddy Waters, Bo Diddley and all the great blues artists too huh?
