He really had Robert Reed’s/Mike Brady’s voice down pat. That’s all he needed. He did a great job.

Not only was his career not over, the movie helped it! The movie and Gary were brilliant!

Gary Cole is a terribly underrated comic genius!

What’s amazing is that the first time I ever saw him in 1983, he played Jeffrey Macdonald, who murdered his entire family in the TV movie Fatal Vision! Turns out this guy can do anything and and especially hilarious comedy!

I saw an interview with the original Brady Bunch cast and the actress who played Cindy had mentioned that when Robert Reed's daughter saw the Brady Bunch Movie in the theater she closed her eyes and when she heard Gary Cole's voice, she could have sworn it with her dad.

I know Gary Cole’s daughter, Mary. Mary is my nephew (Jordan) girlfriend. Gary Cole’s daughter, Mary, is the sweetest & nicest girl you could ever meet! I haven’t had the opportunity to meet her dad Gary yet. However, he’s a great & funny actor & loved him in the 1995 Brady Bunch Sequel movie! Shout out to Gary Cole if you’re reading this👍👌🏿 ~ Like the Color ~

Great interview here!! It looks like it's from not long after the first movie came out. Mr. Cole captured Mr. Reed's "weird rhythm" flawlessly!!

First time I saw Gary Cole in a movie was Fatal Vision '84, great movie & great actor! Midnight Caller good show also but he nailed the Mike Brady character in this movie perfect! I still laugh now, great casting all around.

I love how Mr. Cole is talking like the role and the process of getting it was NOT a big deal. I guess that was the key to the reason he did well cuz he wasn’t taking it seriously. He nailed Robert Reed’s “Mike”.

Gary Cole came out of the Steppenwolf Theater Company, like a lot of talented people such as John Malkovich, Laurie Metcalf, John Mahoney, Joan Allen, and Gary Sinise, just to name a few.

If an actor can have ONE GREAT ROLE, he or she has done something. This dude has had many. I don't even know which is the best. The bad dad in "Talladega Nights," or the horrid architect in "The Brady Bunch Movie." Lundberg?

When I worked in a pizza place at 17 yrs old,my co-worker said,oh,it's time for my favorite show,she said, channel 32, I said,no,it's channel 9,she said,no channel 32,she meant the Brady Bunch,and I meant the Andy Griffith show 😊
